Burke's Outlet plans to open location in Danville

Burke's Outlet is targeting the 35,000-square-foot space previously occupied by the Peddler's Mall in Danville Manor Shopping Center on the bypass.

Another junky second-hand store. Lassiter says that we can't expect any high quality stores, why not? We were once the HUB for all area counties to do their shopping in. I am so disappointed; I thought someone said that we were going to get a Belk Department Store. Danville is getting more pitiful everyday! How do we ever hope to attract people to our town with such pathetic shopping possibilities??? I don't buy the concept that we don't have the demographics for anything better than a Burkes Outlet. In life you usually get what you expect and I guess our town leaders don't have very high expectations for our town!!! So disappointing!!

You might try and put your post on the Danville Topix where someone might care. We already have a Burke's Outlet here in Campbellsville.

Median income is too low. Every decent store closes because people spend all their money at Walmart.

THis is also winchester topix that it posted too.LOL as well as mount sterling. I find some good bargains in Burkes. Like any place else you have to be careful and check things over. I didn't one time and got a bad pair of pj's. You will like thier selection of shoes if you are young.
Belks isn't any better. You pay more for the same so called bad quality. You just have to watch the sales and watch the quality wherever you shop.
