I applied about a month ago when they were hiring for 2nd shift, but I never heard anything. I figured holding down a job at Amazon in Lexington for 6 years would look pretty good to them, but that's what I get for thinking. Anyone know if they're still hiring or if they hire pretty often? Any tips on who to talk to or what to do to get in the door would be helpful as well.

They put a freeze on hiring about 2 months ago. They hired around 15 people then, and put the freeze on it. Maybe after winter theyll start hiring again.

Seems you just missed the hiring! You applied after they already had all they need for the moment. Your application is good for a year though. Decent job, decent pay. Good luck!

How much do they start out making and how much is insurance? And also do you get a 40 hour work week and can you get overtime? Thanks so much in advance for your reply.

Not really sure what the starting pay is anymore. May be around 11 dollars and your not always garuetted 40 hours a week. The employees that work there now are lucky if they get 40 hour pay checks right now. As far as overtime it's only when they make it mandatory so you can't just sign up and get it whenever. The whole factory has to be scheduled for you to be able to get it and it's usually only during the summer or before or after holidays. As far as isuance goes it just depends on what plan you go with and how much it cost. They're all different.

Since you are the spell police does that also include grammar? You need to put a space after each comma and it is there not "their" will be layoffs. After 2013 THERE should have been a period and rumor should have been capitalized. Oh last but not least, there is no hypen in misspelled. I could care less but if you are going to correct someone make sure you don't have more errors than they do.

Yes, I know, I left out some commas on purpose.
