It is a clinic that gets you addicted to one drug to get you off of another. And VERY expensive.

The clinic is the best thing to happen to the medical field. First off the drug is used to stop the withdraw symptoms from narcotics and other addictive drugs. It has changed the lifes of enough people that they are able to open other clinics in Kentucky, Tennesse, and Oklahoma with more to come. There is no addiction to Suboxone and one advantage of the high price is you won't want to sell it on the street like most drug addicts do. What price would you pay to turn your life around?

First off you are wrong, I had a friend that went there and yes he did get addicted, he thought if he didn't have it he was dying. He would even start to panic if he was getting low and that is addiction. And I had another friend who it worked great for but guess what, he got over it and YES he was going getting the pills and then selling them. The money he paid for them didn't even compare to the money he made selling. So either you have no clue what your talking about or you are trying to sell the shit to get ppl to come to the clinic

Suboxone is very addictive, I think its like what Methadone is to heroine addicts..that is used to help users get off heroine..now tell me if people are not hooked and selling that on the street. Suboxone may not have the same type of affect on people like methadone does...but people are hooked.

Suboxone is addictive. If a person takes it they still have to be weaned off of it also. Another pill is not the answer to drug addiction.
Where is the counseling to help the person really cope with the addiction? The suboxone has a large street value and many people are selling it. Addicts on the street like it because it will quickly get rid of the withdrawel effects they are having.

I've been on Suboxone now for a year. It is hands down the best thing that's happened to me, other than my daughter. I have been clean now the entire time, and it is addictive, but nothing like the pills I was taking. I was out here like a crazy person trying to find my next pill. NOw I don't worry about them b/c all I need is 2 a day. I'm okay now b/c of subs and if anyone out there has a serious problem like I did, then I recommend the clinic.

So what happens when you are off the subs and with no thearpy how will you stay off the street pills? Right now as you stated all you need is 2 subs a day, so you are still taking the subs to curve the earge, when they are gone and they will no longer give you the subs, what then? Even though I have a very strong feeling that the clinic will continue to give you the pills as long as you can afford to buy then. But you are still living from pill to pill. I know you have to start somewhere but I don't think a pill for a pill is the answer

Unless you have been or are affected by someone with a drug abuse problem, YOU DON'T KNOW !
In MY opinion this is the best thing that could have happened for my brother.

Thankyou "Judge Not" you really just took the words right out of my mouth. I am someone that has been prescribed pain pills since I was 16, I am 26 now. I was in a car wreck and they've fed them to me ever since. I also lost my sister in 97 to a care wreck so I turned to pills then as well. If not for the subs I would still be out here spending thousands a week/month. I have a great career & I make damn good $. Before the clinic every dime i had was wasted. Now I spend $350 a visit & my meds are paid for through insurance. I do agree somewhat b/c it is another pill. But it's not something that takes control of your mind like pain pills. Pain pills caused me to think of them only. Now my focus in life is my daughter, and my family. I won't always take 2 a day. Hell, I've went from 4 to 2 a day within a year. I think that's amazing. Now my goal is to go to 1 a day hopefully within the next couple months. Once I achieve that goal I will go to a half and then be done!!! Don't ever judge someone if you don't know the situation or the story. After all, we'll all be judged one day so your judgement does not concern me!

That's exactly right! I have been very much affected in the past by drugs in my family. But it took real professional help for them to get over it.

Thats wonderful congratulations and good luck. I have seen a few of my family members where you are so I am not judging you for anything you are going through or been through. I have seen the affects first hand. But the subs were a waste of time and money and caused them to use more money in their situation but every situation is different.

Survivor wrote:
Addiction is a disease just as many other illnesses is also a disease. Suboxone is my medication to control the horrible thing called addiction that I suffer from. I am also a cancer survivor, while I was going through treatments for cancer I took medication to control it, not cure it. I look at my suboxone the same way as I look at my cancer medication(chemo pills and radiation)...both kinds of medication (the suboxone and cancer treatment meds) treated my disease's. So I see nothing wrong with taking Suboxone, it controls my addiction just as chemo helped with my cancer. It has changed my life, I went from taking around 7-8 80milligram Oxycontin a day to taking no Oxys at all now. The Suboxone clinic saved my life just as the cancer treatments saved my life. I dont see what the problem with being on Suboxone is, its nothing like Methadone or Oxys. It gives you a feeling of being normal...not high. Its also available by prescription to anyone, unlike Oxycontin. You cant just walk into a doctor office and easily get Oxys, but you can get Suboxone LEGALLY.
Good for you! I hope you go a long way in your life. It sounds like we're in the same place. I hope you've beat you're disease w/ cancer and I hope someday we'll all be free of this addiction. I'll keep u in my thoughts & prayers.

The subs do give you headaches, but they get better and for some ppl they go away. I still get them sometimes, but I've always suffered from headaches/migraines since my car wreck. The pill similiar to suboxone that you're talking about is subutex. It's just like subs but it doesn't have the blocker in it. Subs have a blocker to where if you took something else you won't feel it. You could take 20 loritabs at once on the subs and you won't even know you took them. The clinic used to only give them away if you ran out of subs and a few other reasons. I would recommend going back and try to get Dr. Woods as your Dr and ask him. Maybe you can even call them. There isn't a done clinic in D-ville that I know of, but I can tell you a Dr that will prescribe them. He's the whacko that gave them to me. I was on dones for 8 yrs. It's a hard drug to beat! The dr is Dr Noe in Harrodsburg. If you're a woman he'll give you anything u want. IF you're a man forget it! Just go to him, don't tell him anything about your addiction! Tell him you work at a computer all day and your back hurts so bad you can't stand it. I really did and do have that problem. He put me on OC's at 1st, but they were way too expensive. I told him I needed something cheaper and he said dones would be my best bet. He likes to be in control so do everything the way he says. Keep me updated and good luck!!!

and you think that he will give them to me just on the basis that i go in there out of the blue and tell him that i am having back pain from sitting in front of a computer all day? got to do something but cant take the subs...this would be a God-send!

When I went I was seriously dealing w/ back and neck problems. I mean he wanted to do surgery on me, but if you tell him that he will listen, as long as you're woman! If he offers you something else 1st take it, and then go back and tell him it's not working or it's too expensive.
