BCHS revolves around football program. The school is stained to the core. Faculty and football staff are the root of problems here. Players run school and could get away with murder.

NAME ONE JUST ONE OTHER THING THAT DRAWS THE SUPPORT, BRINGS HOME TITLES, BUILDS THE HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS FACILITIES OTHER THAN THEIR OWN. AND OUR PROGRAM SUPPORTS ITSELF FROM IT'S OWN REVENUE. WITHOUT THE FOOTBALL PROGRAM, BCHS WOULDN'T BE NOTHING

Actually, BCHS has a pretty strong academic program! Boyle Countians don't really care about academics, though. Parents around here are more concerned about sports than their children's performance in school. Wow they bring home state titles, but the majority of the players don't do their own homework/tests and walk around like they own the school. When I went to BCHS, the football players rarely went to class, and when they did show up, they barely knew the material. Sad that we teach our children to put sports above knowledge. Most of those guys will end up coaching or changing the oil in my car because they won't have the skills for a real career.

Sounds like ENVY!Boyle County High School is ranked near the top of the state in academics and athletics.Maybe some people need to do their homework. The guy doing your oil job could be the owner and a BCHS grad!lol

Nothing has changed. Sports have always been more important in this neck of the woods. After these kids hit the real world they are shocked that they are only offered low-paying jobs. Most of them will work in factories the rest of their life and resent the minuscule pay checks.

There is a junior at Boyle right now that got his girlfriend pregnant, wanting to borrow money from anyone who won't tell his parents so she can have an abortion. So much for the so-called Christian upbringing.

Maybe part of the sports experience should be to teach these kids about condoms.

That's unfair to act as if it is only athletes that are getting pregnant; there are all types of students out there making bad decisions. A lot of these students don't have very good examples to go home to. Why is it always the coaches/teachers' responsibility to teach the players/students lessons in life? I was an athlete and my parent taught me; I never thought my coach was responsible for raising me. But darn, I still made some bad decisions....that's just life!!!

Also Boyle has great athletics across the board from soccer, football, track, golf, etc... Their academics are excellent; someone must care because their schools have some of the highest test scores in KY. However, there still will be some that will be changing the oil in our cars and I sure hope there is because that too is a needed profession. Go Boyle Schools...I for one am proud to be an alumni and you continue to make me proud!!

my son is a rebel and plays football and he goes to class and does his homework and makes straight a's so you need to get your facts straight. I would say parents care more than you think. Only thing it sounds like to me is that you are jealous that someone beat you and now you have to bad mouth...grow up

Look at Jacob Tamme, great person, student, and ball player.
And he's making a lot of money doing what he loves.....Playing football.

Next pro may be Lamar Dawson. At least he's gonna get a free education...and he has a great grade point average.

No one beat me...I'm a rebel! However, I don't still go to football games at the high school like I'm 18. Some of these parents try to live vicariously through their children and need to grow up! There's more to life than sports! I'm not saying this only happens at BCHS, but it does happen at BCHS so don't be naive.

If you don't want to go to football games, stay home. You don't have to bad mouth others because they enjoy the games. Life is about making choices and it sure doesn't make you act like 18 again because you want to support the football team. There's a lot of healthy socialization the occurs during football season with tailgating, etc.. It sounds like you need to get a life and a positive attitude. Yeah, what actually do you do for fun that is so mature might I ask?

Lucky for Lamar that Devon Hale took the blame for the drugs when Lamar was right there with him. BCHS didn't say anything about that!

It's obvious that BC protects their players. There's no way Lamar Dawson would be Gatorade player of the year if BC had kicked him out for drugs. Or Devon hale OR Ryan wilson
Light, you're not very bright. For the strangest reason you felt it necessary to throw in those student's names and since they're not 18 years old, that could give legal cause for action against you. Not to mention you used their names in a slanderous nature. You're not very bright are you?

It is more than likely another kid naming names. Besides, I have yet to see a lawsuit where anonymous posters are identified. This website is notorious for naming names.
