a new face and forward looking person is needed, new ideas, fresh outlook and above all we need to stop the hand down position that has been in effect in Boyle Co. for years. step up people, vote, don't just accept what the Court House crowd wants you to have.

I think there are only 2 real choices for Judge, they are Divine and Harmon. These two have never held an elected position in Boyle Co. except Harmon which is the wife of our State Rep. Mike Harmon and he has done nothing for our county while he has been in office. We know what kind of job Mckinney is doing, but also remember the comment Montgomery made about knowing what part of the county a person was from by the clothes they wore. Then there is Owens, which he was one of the three on the city council that just about ruined the city before they were voted out. The other 2 were Kavanaugh and John Bowling.

Here's how I see it: No one seems to like McKinney (myself included), Mike Montgomery ran before and lost (he's not very popular either), no one knows or has heard of Steve Divine, and the "good ole boys club" of magistrates aren't going to let a woman, Lynn Harmon, come in with no experience in this office or any other, plus we havent seen much action from her husband. So that leaves Owens. He has some political experience(give him benefit of doubt, he was very young when he was a commish) and is very loyal to Danville. All elections seem like the lesser of two evils but Ryan Owens has a new perspective and great ideas with the education and ability to back them up.

Harmon will have a bye in the election in May. With an incumbent, the vote is going to be split between the three remaining (Divine, Montgomery and Owens). Now if there were only two Democrats running against McKinney in May the vote would be more evening divided and very close with a possible upset. So, one of the three needs to drop out towards the end and throw their support to one of the other two to help shore up a loss for McKinney. Those three guys need to get together, work this out and make sure McKinney doesn't get elected.

Anyone who's been around Danville very long, knows those two will be Owens or Devine and I think for the first time in many, many years the Court House Click could get broken. Overdue!

Harold McKinney has always been a leader in this community. Some of you sound like the thugs that he took off the streets when he was County Attorney. You can take all these peons running against him and their votes added together won't beat him. Write it down.

I donn't know about the rest of you but I am tired of seeing the same faces in our local gov. I think it is time for a change. Since Mckinney has been in office how many of our factories have closed? He has done nothing to try and stop it from what I see, and to respond to the people that think he is a nice man, you really do not know him very well then. Just ask the people that work under him what they think they are not Thugs. And has anyone noticed that Owens only runs for an office when he is unemployed. Montgomery I don't need to say anymore. Divine has never run for a political office and he has started a reputable business from scratch in Danville and run it for over 10 years. He is a good person, a very down to earth person that I think could make a welcomed change for the better for our county. VOTE DIVINE

I have known Harold McKinney for a very long time, much longer than you I could bet. I don't understand what you are trying to say about the people under him and thugs??? What do you mean?

I don't know the Divine guy; what business does he run? Can the County Judge Exec. really keep businesses from going under in this economy? I don't think so.

May I refer you to the poll at the top of this page, as I see it now McKinney is at 10% of this vote! Write this down, he will be unemployed like many in the county!

There is no doubt that Devine is the only viable option in this race. We need a new face with some new ideas and a fairly conservative family view point. Look at the choices here - now, who do you want working for your child's future?

It isnt one person's fault these factories have closed. The main reason is most have been here for 20 or so years. After that period of time, the tax benefits run out. Kentucky isn't offering these companies the big tax dollars and tax breaks that other states are offering. However, it is also part of our local government's job to be appealing on a local level. Ryan Owens has a plan (backed by an Economics degree from UK) to help create more jobs and retain the existing jobs in Boyle county. He will put an end to special treatment to "special interest" groups and work for the people.

Who cares why Owens is unemployed. I'm sure it has nothing to do with him. And to the quote that he won't work for "special groups", that is also a joke!!! He definitely won't get my vote!!!

Someone is confused and muddled today, making it difficult to talk for long without becoming equally bemused. Avoid making decisions or researching important information, because there's a strong possibility of getting crossed wires, or talking at cross purposes. A memory may also be distorted now, leading to mix-ups or bewilderment.
