You must be an exception to every junkie turned sober I've met then. I've never heard of one person going into seizures while detoxing from suboxone. The detox was horrible most likely because"you had no plan to come off." You HAVE to have a plan to taper off of suboxone or any drug. did you quit cold turkey?? And what about all those people that go to rehab knowing their not going to be able to stay clean. I'd rather be suboxone clean than just waiting for my next slipup, the odds aren't in your favor hun. I never said being on suboxone was clean and sober, but it's MANAGEABLE. I guarantee you'd be lying if you said you didn't ever reminisce about getting high. Your a very ignorant self riteous person for someone who's been through it. The reason sub has a street value is for junkies to not withdrawl between fixes, why the hell would they be on the corner buying it illegally. Suboxone is all some of us have to live a normal life. Yes some cases MIGHT just be a little more serious than yours.

It only takes 1-2 weeks of totally abstaining from opiates to get yourself, back for the most part. Why prolong it by taking another? Sure its rough but ur free n not needing a pill to make u fictional.

people addiction is a bad thing but suboxin saved my life i use it as im told to, but then you have people on here putting it down but smokeing po drinking and cocain is ok thats no problem its always about people on pills. let people live there lives and stop downing them my god we are supposed to help each other why people get on here and talk sobad about eachother blowes my mind i will support anyone that wants to better there life. I wouuld rather have people on suboxine then anyother drug its the ones who abuse it or sale it who needs to stop. people if you cant say kind things about people its you that hates life and want to complain and bitch about what other people do just worry about your life and stay out of others.

Parksville, your still getting high on suboxone and i wouldnt want to work next to you or have you driving. Ive heard of hundreds trying to get off the subutex. And uhm no neither of those places are a joke. Licensed counselors, coping skills, job training, education assistance, anger managment nope no joke.

yea, then possibly relapse again. Are you an addict? It sounds like your facts are based on heresy, like every person i debate this topic with. I can openly admit that there is a chance i could relapse in the future without this medication. So what's the point of me rushing to get off of it because you think badly of it? The money i spend is for me to live a normal life. I don't care if your friend does this or that. Doesn't mean jack to me. Everybody else is different. If i stopped cold turkey, yes i would feel like shit. The only reason it has a "street value" is because it's not over the counter. Though different, people are addicted to alcohol and cigarettes too, why no street value there? Because you can get it without a prescription. You know jack about suboxone. No, wd's are nowhere close to heroin. And no you don't get high off of it after about three days. Talk to any long term suboxone patient. If you haven't been through drug addiction, you don't know anything about it.
Well from what I've seen nobody that uses subs stays clean for long it's people that use the it will help me get off drugs mommy and daddy the next thing you know their selling their subs and buying heroin or oxy.. Or people say it helps cause they don't wanna really be clean so they take subs... That's like saying I'm going to quit drinking vodka and drink beer instead.. If you really want to change your life and get clean cold turkey is the only way.. Subs is just the gov's way of making money off drug addicts.. we will sell you drugs the legal way

I disagree, going from oxy to suboxone is more like going from vodka to coffee. What cracks me up is it's what you've "seen" just like every other person like you. You've witnessed people at their worst, so you already have a bad view towards them. Nothing they do is going to impress you, especially if they take a medication to help manage their addiction. Your just like every other average person that hasn't been through addiction, you haven't a clue. What's sad is us people who are on this site to talk about our struggles with addiction are here to help and support each other, how did you get here? Are you looking for someone to respect your opinion? As long as you judge how other people live their lives, you'll be out of luck finding peace. It's like looking down on someone whose obese, it's only ok to be mad if they bitch about their weight because it's their choice. None of us are complaining though, just you. Oh well, us addicts are in your head i guess, better than the other way around.

Steven, you wouldn't have the slightest clue how many normal looking people are on suboxone. I can guarantee you drive next to several and most likely work next to one or two. Not every suboxone patient is a long haired bum on the corner. There are cops, doctors, judges, soldiers, etc on this medication and successfully doing their part. I'm on it and do tons of volunteer work, i also pay for every penny of my meds and if not for suboxone,i absolutely could not stay off of opiates. Cold turkey doesn't just work for everyone, i have tried several times in my life. I always went back, not always on purpose, sometimes on accident. Shit happens, some of us have pain to kill, life isn't fair to everyone. All i know is I've been off of opiates for 2 years, and everything in my life is back to normal. Yea i may have traded one one medication for a different one,but on suboxone i don't think about breaking into your car or mugging you for a fix. It's one or the other for a lot of people, i owe my life to suboxone
