it all depends. how would we get our goods like the stuff we get from cali if we succeeded from the union? i think this is a thing not to be taken light as a night's sleep. our lives depend on these chances of reform but we dont want to make choices to end stable stuff

This will never happen. Do some research and you will see that these petitions have circulated many times over the years and never amount to anything.

Correct blue eyes. not going to happen. lol. Also, these petitions aren't filed by any government official within the Kentucky state office.. they're just an online thing started by random citizens. There are petitions on there for all sorts of asinine things. Some people are under the impression that the constitution gives people the right to leave the Union whenever it wants.. that's a lack of fact checking.. the constitution makes no such claim.

And the funny thing is that many people are online talking about this as if they truly believe that multiple states are about to secede any minute now. One poster earlier today said that Texas had already "receded" from the Union...LOL.

actually if it reaches 25,000 signatures it has to be "addressed" by the white house/congress what ever. i do not foresee this nation splitting apart, but is it becoming clear that the american public are starting to realize that our way of llife is at stake. as far as goods, we need to do local shopping anyway, this system we have of depending on a shipment for a head of lettuce at walmart is killing us, go to joe farmer down the road, buy his lettuce, trade your goods. if all localities did this our economy would grow as a whole, gas prices reduce, and health improve...

Actually it doesn't have to be addressed. It has to reach 25,000 signatures before it will be considered... but there's a clause in the guidelines that says a response isn't required despite the number of signatures. As far as "will we have to have Obama Care".. you won't have to have "obamacare" regardless. People are so uninformed on what obamacare even is that it's gotten blown out of proportion. I don't think the folks crying "secede!!" really even stop to think as to what that would entail.

The way I see it.. if you don't want to live in the United States anymore.. there are airplanes and passports easily available to anyone at anytime.

Oh, the people in the Middle East would love that. They always say that we will destroy our country from within. Drugs pumped in from Mexico. States threatening to secede from the union. Destroyed families with no daddies to help take care of things. Mothers on meth. Yeah, our enemies can come and pick up the pieces when we're done destroying ourselves. What happened to, "United we stand, divided we fall"?

The fact is that this country was built by the people for the people and our very own government has forgot this. And if we dnt start standing up for our rights and defending them all these laid back people who have obama dik in their mouths are goin to allow the muslim piece of shite they voted for to do wut his brother bin laden and all his predecessors vowed they would do,(destroy our country from within). Ronald Regan once said if we ever forget that we are one nation under God that we will most certainly be a nation gone under. Gues what we are goin under because we r allowing a born foreign muslim to head our government its disgusting that prople can be so ignorant. They take bibles out of school but yet they pass them out by the hundreds and thousands in prisons. The majority of people in this country tight now are so benovolent that obama coulf hand them a bowl of human feces and tell them it was chocalate pudding and theyd eat every drop before they realized it wasnt. Wake the fk up people. #lokd n loaded

uhmm.. Obama was born Hawaii..and I don't know what "benovolent" is, but if you mean benevolent that still doesn't make any sense. I know Obama and Osama rhyme so alot of small minds make a connection, but I'm not sure how that could classify Obama as a terrorist. As far as being Muslim... that's just more rumors haha. Obama has been openly participating in Christian faith (a religion he chose himself) practices since the early 90s. His father was born into a Muslim lifestyle but had became an atheist way before Obama, JR was ever born. Why do bibles need to be part of daily school reading? School is for general education. Personal religion and beliefs can be studied at church/temple and/or at home. I don't understand why it's so important for it to be part of school, too.#use a spellcheck

I do remember one thing that just stuck in my mind, after Obama went in the first time and the camera crew was in the oval office, there was a huge Budda statue sitting on a large table, that's when I was shocked to see in our oval office, and I did see it, comments please.

I have never heard of this one, I'm not saying you didn't see it.. just saying this is a new one on me. I tracked down the footage of when he first enters the oval office when he was first elected and all the footage is short from outside the white house. Is there anyway you could find the video and share a link? I mean seeing it or not isn't going to change my comments or opinion.. I just want to see it first hand in case this comes up somewhere else down the line for me. I don't think it matters if he is a Muslim, Buddhist, Christian(which he is), Hindu, Pagan, or any of the other religions that are out there. America stands for freedom, a collection of eclectic individuals who form a diverse union. Skin color isn't the only thing that can be different about us. So if he does have a statue of Buddha.. so be it. Obama runs this country without a religious agenda behind his political one. What his faith is, is his business.. just like the rest of us.

What do you think about it dragonfly?
