This proposed store sounds like a good idea.
RalphÂ’s: formerly a family-built and owned chain in Southern Calif. I grew up on their food and shopped there as an adult. They were very good. Since being bought by a conglomerate, though (and changing hands that way more than once, I recall), the quality went downhill and their expansion into Northern Calif. was a mistake.
I hope it's all they say it is. Ralph's was a good chain.

I knew you were a SoCal boy! Were you more a Hollyweird, or a beach type?

LOL. I've been to all of those places many times. Even lived in one. Sailed at MDR.

You are bringing back memories. High school summers spent at Huntington. The later years it was out to Catalina every weekend with the occasional boat trip down to newport harbor to eat at the Rusty Pelican, (I think that's the name), or the other resturant next door.

I just moved to Vacaville over a year ago, and I would like to know if anyone of you in VV that has been here for a long time, what used to be in the shopping center where Big Lots is at, and most of it is now empty? I've been dying to know!!
In that plaza there was an Orchard Supply, California Family Fitness, Hancocks Fabric store. Not sure what was in Big Lots. I've lived in VV 20 years.
