What makes Danville special? Why no Section 8 in Alamo or Danville? Please don't tell me the Government wont pay for it. The Government pays up to 4000 dollars a month for section 8 housing. they pay fair market rent. Danville isn't all upscale. Why don't you have alot more Section 8. Why very few minorities like Blacks and Hispanics? Why are you rich people forcing all of them into the city of Antioch? If you're loving and fair you will demand Danville offers housing to low income families from Oakland and Richmond. Stop pretending to be so loving and liberal at work only to run home to whiteyville. And I'm white so I can say that. Well partly white anyways.

Loving and fair is to work hard, get a well paying job and earn your status in life. It can be done.

I am a republican - and earn your own keep like we all do. Get some pride and a job and stop living off the system... it's pathetic.

I have to sympathize with the OP on this one. It's almost impossible to pickup a prostitute or score crack off Main Street in Danville. It would save me a trip to Antioch if they'd just let in some section 8.

Danville and Alamo are nice because it's primarily affluent old people who live there. Eventually, this will change and I would assume they'll be replaced by affluent Asians and some younger whites. We've lived here going on three years and it's already trending that way.

Seriously, these are older communities with almost exclusively single family homes. There's a low inventory of apartments, so section 8 is not present.

There are some pretty scary racist people posting here. Seriously, I don't know how you can think the things that you write. You should move to Alabama or Ole Miss, and put on your Klan outfits. Absolutely move out of our town!

Actually, no: YOU are pathetic. People who are poor aren't necessarily "living off the system." My sister, for example, has a master's degree and has applied for five hundred jobs. She still hasn't one. In this economy you can't assume anyone is being lazy. There probably are a few lazy folks out there, but as someone who was unemployed and had to collect unemployment insurance for a full year, I can tell you that the safety net is barely a net and certainly not cushy, comfortable, or likely to make people live on what you imagine to be 'the dole' for a minute longer than they absolutely must. Perhaps, O Republican, if you're so eager to see people working, YOU should stop being lazy and become a "job creator". Oh -- that's right, I forgot: That whole 'job creator' thing is just a republican myth, along with "soon to haves" and fair taxes.

They need to keep section 8 out of blackhawk ! Thats not discrimination you Jerk!!! Once you let section 8 in its all bad! Section 8 people have a low class mentality, they are Ghetto, disrespectful, lazy Sob's. Look whats happened to San Ramon! Get a clue if you can. Nothing but middle easterns that think they can do what ever the hell they want. They are rude to Grocery clerks! Who the hell do they think they are? Assholes, if you want respect , you better learn how to give respect. And teach your screaming kids some old school discipline!!!! And hey, starring is rude, you assholes!!!
