Walnut Creek depot poised to go from steaks to retail shops
The owner of the Vic Stewart's steakhouse and the building it's in, many decades ago the Southern Pacific's Walnut Creek train station, plans to convert the building from an upscale eatery into a retail building with five separate spaces. The project plan, called the Walnut Creek Retail Renovation Project, was approved Oct. 18 by the city's Design Review Commission.

What a shame. The city of Walnut Creek cannot seem to keep the really good restaurants! Instead we are stuck with small eateries whose food is anything but tasty. So sad.
