Red UFO Over Livermore California

I am just curious, as I am sure I could not possibly have seen a UFO over North flying South Livermore Tuesday early evening around 5 to 5:30 pm'ish, could I?? Anyone else see a VERY very bright flashing red light, flying low (above rooftops by what looked like a mile or so from my vantage point in Northeast Livermore). At first glance I thought a plane going into Livermore Airport (possibly, I guess). But, I also thought wow that is flashing a bright red light,I can't see the white, or sometimes there is a green one too. Just super bright red. I was also thinking, it is flying pretty fast and low. It went out of sight behind another home's rooftop, then I briefly saw it again before it went out of my sight. Are there planes/ was there a plane that can fly or flies with just a blinking red light? If anyone knows the answer, please enlighten me!! What did I see?? Did anyone else see it? Or has seen it?

I have seen this exact thing twice here in the middle of Indiana (just west of Indianapolis). One time it looked like it was taking off from the airport. Bright red blinking lights with no other colors visible.

The second time was early evening and it was flying from east to west north west. Again, just bright red blinking lights with no other colors visible.

About 8:00 pm saturday night Feb 21st I saw a super bright red flashing light move across Mt Blanca in Southern Colorado. It moved from east to west about 500 feet up. No other colors. Roughly 30 minutes later an identical light followed in same path. Moved slow like helicopter but heard nothing.

The more evenings I watch the sky and the planes traveling to and from Livermore and Oakland airports, I wonder what it was I saw. It was a large (size of a small plane) and I percieved it to be round. It was low, as I lost sight of it twice as it was blocked by the home roofs behind me. It was glowing bright read and pulsating as it flew. I know it was seen by others because it was only between 5:30 and 6:30pm and it seemed to be toward 580. I just wish I could have seen it longer and at a different angle. I was hoping someone on Topix would have seen something too. I see most posts are making fun of me, that is fine...I am not saying UFO, but it was very different from the planes I see in the sky.

How big do you think it was?? What shape? The thing I saw wasn't blinking, but the light was like pulsating. It could have been another light on it I guess.

So are you thinking it was a plane?? The thing I saw did not have flashing lights, or at least it stayed red and pulsated getting brighter and darker as if it were flashing but never totally going out..I just feel it was weird. I keep checking the sky at night, lots of planes, but I haven't seen it again.

I am sorry, as I read through the posts, the original one's that were being mean are gone and the ones left seem to be people trying to relate another look, maybe another idea it's just a plane. I apologize for saying the posts were making fun of me.

Yes they have Helicopter flying around with bright Red lights in front of them? In livermore maybe remote control? GOV Stealth Testing maybe? Keep your eyes open.

We've spotted the strangest red and green flashing light in the So. Calif. sky. The light is stationary. We spotted it on April 19th and April 21. Who does one contact regarding this?

You could start by calling the air traffic control of your local or closest airport (small airport towers will answer!!) and ask about it..then go to the website UFORC and report it!!! Sometimes a plane will only be flashing the red and green, they will turn the whites on when on approach...

ive seen a flashing red light here in england flying over some houses at 3 30 in the morning i thought it was a bit weird

The Bright Red is on Government planes like Air Force or Military. They do not use other colors cause they fly into other countries and a lot of other planes in other countries do not have colors. They only have 1 bright red light.

Very interesting....although, what we spotted was a stationary craft (15-20 minutes at a time) with red and green alternating lights, traveling around the craft. Any ideas?

You know I saw it too! I think... In El cerrito.I was coming from work & when I parked i looked over on my left & right there about maybe a mile away I see a bright red,
flashing light on top I think & then a bright white light on the bottom could of been viceversa, then all of sudden a bunch of lights of different colors in the shape of vertical rectangles lit up.
I was pretty impresed needless to say, watching this huge spaceship or whatever type of flying ship. It was definately not like any type of aircraft we are familiar with.It didn't really make a sound.
With the way it was flying & at that distance from the ground and from me, any other aircraft you would of heard the loud engines for miles, you can always hear a helicopter when is still a few miles away...
Whatever it was it was awsome, I've never seen anything like it, outside of a movie that is.
I immediately ran to the computer to search for other posts about sightings, but didn't find any & never looked again, so this is very cool that i found this post.

i just saw it today about 11 minutes ago and i do not know what that was, i thought it was a chopper but no or a plane but it was flying to low and fast and did not see any other lights just two blinking red lights front top and front bottom blinking bright never in my 21 years of life have seen this..

ive seen that around here in livermore im pretty sure its just a helicopter. i have seen a ufo above the lab before though. it had red, white, blue, and green pulsating lights then it just disappeared out of nowhere it was crazy

it could not have been a helicoper.Helicopter aren't as big and as quiet when they're this close...i've been next to helicopters, my friend is a news cast camera person in a helicopter, a helicopter can be many miles away and you hear it and see it's particular lights.This craft was at most 1 mile away and it's lights were not like any regular aircraft, it wasn't only red flashing lights I saw besides those the whole thing lit up right in front of my eyes with lights of all colors in a straight horizontal line & it 'hovered' super slow & noiseless

I started this post, and the more I watch the sky and the planes fly over and into the airport, I am now even more convinced that what I saw was VERY weird!!! It was NOT a helicopter with blinking lights. It was close enough to hear, and there was no sound. Too fast for any helicopter I have seen, and it was a bright solid, glowing, red light that pulsated brighter red every few seconds. It went behind the roof of the house behind me, which is way too low, I realize now after watching planes come in to land at Livermore airport. I also know that I would have seen a green blinking light from the side I was on (not red), and there was no white strobe light; both required by the FAA. All planes must have a green flashing light on left wing, red on right, and blinking strobe to avoid collision..none of this. I won't say it wasn't something else other than a UFO, but I cannot believe nobody else saw this thing..it was soooo low, it had to go right over 580...and it wasn't very late (but was dark)had to be around 6:30 pm..boy that was a while ago..

I saw a strange bright flashing light traveling high, from east to west about a month ago. It was very bright and would go completely off for about 2-4 seconds then flash. I was thinking plane at first, but thought about the fact the light would go completely out..isn't that against the FAA regulations?? I don't know??? I am starting to watch the sky now..LOL..I am getting paranoid, I am the type to want to see something to believe it..
