Today is Easter , the holiest day in the Christian liturgical calendar, and most Christians will be out attending church and engaging in family get-togethers. So I thought this would be a good time to look at ...

Its good if, ultimately, those of the christian faith can learn to accept and respect the validity of the beliefs of those of us who are pagan although I suspect that as long as the christian religion continues to be profitable in terms of financial and influential power, we will always have those christian fanatics who will try to shut down other faiths, not because other forms of spirituality are evil but rather because it cuts into the power of those who would use christianity to controll others.

As a pagan/witch I am getting very discussed about all these Chirstains who are against my religion and futher more they should be educated to know that we are just as human following just one simple belief. Our right to choose who we worship should not. Well in my veiw I think we all need just to get along and stop thius crap before it starts a race war and then noone will end up winning.

I used to be Lutheran but the pastor treated my wiccan friends like scumm. I'm now a pagan Druid. I don't appreciate people giving me cold stares when I'm in the new age section of the bookstore, cutting me off because of my Druid bumper sticker, or telling me that I'll burn in hell with the rest of my Druidic friends.

I know, it sucks. But don't let this turn you bitter and angry. Learn to take the higher ground, and relax those shoulders; all the crap will slide right off them. Love and Light, bongrrl. |

They will never except us....You will find very few Christians whom will except your belifes and relate your belifes to there own....but as far as the Christian religon itself...haaa...you can expect a growth of fighting, As our religon gets more and more members there religon gets smaller...and over time they will not except this...The christians WILL try to find ways to try to tear us away from our belifes.....be strong my freinds for I belive we havent seen not even a portion of what is to come from there hatefull discrimination, Dont let them sway you away from your belifes....

A friend of mine used to make jokes and say that he'd rather go to Hell than to Heaven because Hell is where are the fun people go! |

1 Yeah! There are good ones. Make sure that you all don't run out of kerosene to keep your internal flame always there to give light. One more question: Who will bless be? |

I have been once a pagan before but now Jesus has dominated my heart. That was about 25 years ago. I used to be hostile towards the xtians and having such thoughts like all of you here. Seeing those xtians coming to befriend me was just like seeing a group of satans charging at a victim. Anyway, I won't treat you like that now. There is a special thing being a xtian although many consider them a rich domination of religion. To you, Jesus may have some bad intention to make one is turning away from one's original religion. To make the worst phobia about the xtians, one may imagine the bad George Bush or Tony Blair. One will never knew the secret of feeling after following the way/teaching of Jesus. It is more than just following. If you can fall in love so much with your paganism, likewise, the xtians can fall in love so much with Jesus. Recalling my past experience as a pagan, I am now living in harmony more in Jesus than in my past deities.

1 We can accept you but can you fit yourself into the Holy Spirit of Jesus? Just coz you can't, you cannot blame xtians for rejecting you. You have to leave your old self to become a new being in the spirit of Jesus, to be born again, to receive new salvation for your soul. |

Sorry, the answer is not "HUH". |

Yes, I am quite a good educated xtian. Are you sure of what you believe? |
|
I have all the salvation I need with my god and goddess thank you...I am quite happy with my own religon....I say christians wont except us because everything we do they have called it evil...We are not evil we are very good witches ,as a matter of fact..I have not seen not one Wiccan on here that dose evil with their magik. |
|
What were the function of your god and goddess towards this earth and space? I respect you for being very fond of leaving your belief for a different one. How do you know that you have obtained salvation? |

I belived in nothing my entire life...didnt see how any religon could be true I thought everyone was blind and stupied...I was a fool...but I got married and had a son and relized I needed something to look forward to after I die...so I started studieing reliogns and my ancestory..and I found witchcraft....Its been in my famly since anyone I know can remember, so I tryied the newer form Wicca...and I fell in love with it, And my God and Goddess are better looked at as a father and Mother than a master or King....you see....they dont want total control over us...they gust protec and guied us as wee need them....

I know that Christians and Wiccans can get along, because I am married to a Catholic of very profound faith. He and I get along great, niether of us treats the other as if their faith has less value. It is a happy marriage. If more Christians and Pagans can intermarry, we will find peace.

Divine, don't presume that everyone who isn't christian just can't hack it with christianity. I was a very devout christian but had a very significant falling out. Youa re welcome to reject us, just treat us as human beings with real beliefs and not stereotypical devil worshippers and we'll get along fine. I'm not saying you are guilty of mistreating pagans in particular, but much of pagan ire comes from people who do. Rejecting is fine, mistreating and abusing is another story. |

Pagans don't feel we need salvation. We don't feel as though the world is something we need to be saved from. We don't see ourselves as sinless, in christian terminology, but we don't feel we need to have someone die on a cross to make amends for that. |
