Hey grey!... I have to drive over the bridge every morning. This is going to be a pain in the butt, but it needs to be done. The current bridge is horrible... you have to come to almost a complete stop on three sections of the bridge to avoid having your car bottom out or throw your steering out of whack.

Looks like Council Women Burek is just looking out for herself by doing all this PR stuff..... Ms. Burek is a tool bag (NPR This is not Burekville, "Slaytington".I wonder if the brige will be renamed the Chris Burek Memorial Bridge when completed....

Burek's web site says that "Under my watch, this bridge will be completed in 2008." I think we should rename all of Main St. in her honor.

As an attendee at a few of the Borough Council meetings, I must give Councilor Burek a salute. Under her watch she was able to spearhead the highway committee and get the bridge done. Absoulutely no credit should go to the other councilors, not to mention the previous ten years of council members. I am glad to see that Slaytington is finally getting the bridge replaced. I am sorry that I missed the bid letting for the project. Oh, wait a minute, that's right... it is a PENNDOT project, NOT A BOROUGH PROJECT. Councilor Burek loves to take credit for "Her Bridge" when all she did was ride on the coat tails of PENNDOT's project. Not to mention, anything that was done in the borough i.e.: the bridge club was initiated by Borough Manager John Kasten. John shoudl be the one commended for any work that the Borough needs to be taking credit for relating to this project.
Watch out 183rd, Ms. Burek is on a roll and there are no coattails she will not tag along to in order to get her name out there and disguise the power hunger person that she is.... GO KRIS

You are right about the people. I never saw a small town, where, it seems hardly anyone works. Also, they don't appear to be disabled.
