He stole the tree May 7th. Witnesses gave police the license plate number.

So why the heck did it take 3 months to arrest him? The police admit the largest piece of evidence - the tree - planted in his FRONT yard. Hardly hard to spot.

So seriously, what took so long?

I harp on this because I have noticed a disturbing pattern around here. It takes forever for the police to move forward.

I think the law abiding residents deserve a better response time.

Except for witnesses getting his license plate number and the stolen goods being planted in his front yard, it was the perfect crime.

Ah... the irony. The price of the tree --$1,000 -- was also his bail. See how that worked out, pal? Hahahaha!

===I guess its all about the Re-Planting of the tree/..the guy may have damaged the tree(stealing it)and eventually killing it--or the City may have damaged and killed the tree--regaining it back/.."where's the beef"..Meathead style.

$1000.00 tree. The real question is WHY did the town spend $1000.00 for a TREE???? I thought We were having A CRISIS with the ECONOMY. We have people running the streets all hours of the night, tires being slashed, cars being broken into, and stray cats taking over the neighborhood and they spend 1000 bucks on a stupid tree? No wonder there are so many houses for sell.
