Shouldn't everything be like this? If you are able bodied, and out of work... If you you are receiving state assistance... Work within your physical or mental abilities...
My Grandfather worked for the WPA and helped clear and build roads in CT. My Great Grandfather was a stone blaster for the town of Stratford, you know the Lordship Sea Wall? That was built by him and others like him... He would be given a job, a salary or clothing or food for an honest days work. Cleaning up parks, helping at the municipalities stuffing envelopes. Its a job... it sure beats sitting home collecting a check or stamps and feeling pretty darned depressed about life. When my plant closed in 1993, I collected unemployment for 6 weeks. It was the worst experience of my life.

just what we need....a rehashed FDR failure. This governor likes to herald her anti-tax positions, yet proposes this. CUT THE SPENDING.

great idea....if people are collecting state assistance, they should be working for the state in exchange. Not more money being thrown at this CCC idea.
