i've known her forever, but i've also known she always gave her son, and his friends alcohol, she would take them to hotels and let them have parties, she knew it was coming, and she should have known better

Honestly, if you dont know the family or what they were going through you need to stop running your mouth about them. The currant doesn't post the entire story so clearly you have NO idea what your talking about

Let me get this right! All mom and dads employed by the State Police and the CT States Attorneys Office, "lock up all their alcohol and medication." I think not! It sounds like this woman is being held to a standard that those involved in her arrest could't pass, much less any other parent. It does make a reader wonder how this could happen to her. Having three 30ish children, I never remember locking up alcohol. God help her, I can't imagine a worse punishment than what she will live with for the rest of her life - convicted or not.

Why on earth didn't her child's father try to gain custody of the child, or at the very least try to get her some help for her alcohol problem? Sad, sad situation.
him and his father didnt quite get along. thats why he was living with his mom.

First off this mother did provide alcohol for her son. It is evident and proven fact. Her son was known for throwing parties which her mom was at and providing the alcohol.
Second, this kid was under the influence of alcohol at the time but he was also doing other drugs.
Lastly, her son died at his fathers campground (from what i heard he owns it)which doesn't put all the blame on the women.
he didnt die at the campground he died at the house in the car. the mother was not always at the parties. she was present at one and that is it. get it right.

I'm not aware of any laws in any states that exists to ban you from sleeping with anyone of any age. That would be absurd.

<quoted text>That term is used here in the wrong way. Why should one parent begiven sole custody of a child. She did not get an immaculate concoption unless his father was an eye dropper from the spermbank.
Many males would love to be good fathers if they had the chanced to, but vindictive ex-wives covet the children and some fathers should be kept away from the children for the appropiate reasons; but in this case the custodial parent should have had her rights to parent this child revoked by a family law court prior to the minor's death.
The court or DCYs should have been notified of this minors behavior. He did not fall between the cracks unseen. Someone missed the warning signs here.
Well said. Men have simply been legislated out of the family. They have no reproductive rights, so they never 'own' the outcome of a pregnancy. Women got all the perogatives with respect to families, and men got all the obligations. No wonder we are in the state of affairs we see today.
