I see posts for best and worst restaurant.. what is the best bar in Beckley?

Well i can tell you from experience that Rock city totally sucks.. I was there about a month ago when they had a big raid and drug bust. Cross roads and Pike View any place that has to serve beer out of cans, should tell you something.

The All in Dance Club, formerly known as the county line, has been opened now for about 2-3 months. It sux! Young punks and thugs in there, looked like alot of teenagers, and yes this was another bar that was raided probably on same night Rock City was. This place is a run down DUMP! Literally, it's ran by S. Fox again only his son is managing it because of the incident that happened at the last bar that was in his name i suppose prevents him from having this one in his name, suppose liquior license reasons.

The Lost Parrot is the best bar in Beckley. No thugs or young kids. Live Music and no cover charge. Fosters is next, but it gets a bad crowd after midnight and has $5 cover charge when they have bands. Morgans is OK, but I agree it does not have any excitement. Pikeview and Crossroads are scary! I went in Rock City once, and at 30, I was the oldest person there.

Morgans by far provides the best variety of music from the 80's 90's and today for those of us over 30. You hear some great old school every Friday and Saturday night. Not everyone over 30 is lacking excitement. The other bars keep playing the same 12 rap songs over and over. Karaoke is on Saturday and it's always packed. There are very few fights so its safe for ladies. There are always more ladies from age 25-45 there.

I agree. Morgans plays some great old school on Fridays, and old and newer stuff on Saturdays. They also have ladies night and karaoke too on Saturdays.

Don't get me wrong, I love Morgan's, but when I go there's usually only a few patrons, most of which are older(very much over 30) men, sitting around the bar, talking amongst themselves. Hence my previous statement.

A lotta fun at Morgans on Friday or Saturday nights, otherwise just mostly older folks anytime else! I do see many more women than men on the weekends.

Morgans i think is older crowd. I will tell you the club i think is better and that is Desoto's. They have a crowd thats starts about 10:30 and they keep coming in all night. It's really nice inside, and i think it's just awesome.

I been at the Desoto's for the last 3 saturdays and there aint been no thugs... But sure am glad you keep your old ass at Morgans.. You probably aint cool enough to hang with everyone at Desoto's.. You gotta hang with the senior citizens at Morgans..

Lets Party, i was there also saturday night, and didnt see no thugs. But you r right, it was a party. I can say no trouble, thats why i go there. The staff there takes care of me, and makes me feel like a V.I.P.
