I say it to my kids all the time; if you are on the road after mid-nite, you run a huge risk because most of people on the road at that time are usually drunks and/or criminals.

Not sure what happen here but I doubt that someone sober would be going the wrong way.

It never ceases to amaze me how these "wrong way" crashes on I-95 can happen. How wasted do you have to be to enter the exit ramp and drive on the wrong side of a highway?!?

This article leaves a lot to the imagination. No discription of the driver, no possible reason the person was driving the wrong way, no age involved. Did the motorcyclists and the driver leave the same bar? Must be on something to be out on the road at 3:00 am. Did Farrel get out?

It is not a coincidence that most wrong-way crashes occur after midnight, which indicates that most of the time alcohol is involved.

this sounds like the motorcycle was at fault. why didn't the driver SEE the car coming at him? the motorcycle wasn't paying attention, not watching the road, and hit the car! the driver of the car was injured trying to avoid the pack of motorcycles!

The girl killed was my niece. She was a good young girl who lost her way in this crazy world we live in. I will miss her terribly...

haha, youre so clueless

Lets see here... a vehicle traveling at least 60 mph on i95 going southbound

another vehicle traveling at least 60 mph on i95 going northbound...

a combined speed of at least 120mph

You could have been in a F350 still died

And, why would it be the motorcycle's fault if the driver of the car was going the wrong way?!??!?!

Ranko, the driver of the car, has a past arrest for heroin and recent tickets for driving at night without lights, and driving left of the center line. Enough said.

Um ... who cares if they were wearing helmets?? There's no law that requires it and oh ... did we mention the Acura was going THE WRONG WAY ?!?! Horrible accident. My heart goes out to the kids' families and friends.

HOW do you manage to het on I-95 going the WRONG WAY!!!????? Was he the ONLY car on the road - or did the other cars/drivers decide that they shouldn't get involved and just because they managed to get past the fool without getting hit. WHEN are the people of SOuth Florida going to start standing up and taking some responsibility for themselves and their neighbors and start calling a the police and reprting thihsese things whgen they see them rather than wait until even more people get killed??? It's not as if there aren't enough drivers out there without cell phones. Just another example of the callousneess of the South Floridian.

Sometimes, it just doesn't matter. I'm all for wearing a helmet - I'm a rider myself. But just like seatbelts, they're a precautionary measure, not a cure to a vehicular fatality.
