Just wondering what happened to the county pool by the high school in dandridge? It really sucks not having a pool close by....

Go to Newport pool.

They claimed it just wasn't profitable to keep it open anymore,so...poof,it was gone.A contibuting factor is,pools of different types have become cheaper and readily available.Many families have their own pools,so the Public pools have dwindled.

But the new REC Center is going to be profitable ?
The Jeff city rec center is turning a profit ?
I guess the doe was responsible for the maintenance, right ?
The pool, just like the roads and the non-profits are luxuries provided to the taxpayers as a community service. We should have some benefits from our tax dollars, but alas, the schools get it all. Just another cut that was never replaced.
Right in line with the current trend of our county government, screw the kids, screw the taxpayers, give it to the schools.

That pool was the Last thing that the county did for the kids/Familys!!!!Vote OUT all current elected officials

Look at the cities and county leadership? Just like obama adminstration you have nothing but dictators who know what is best for all. Quit complaining and don't ruffle county feathers they may go up on you property taxes again soon.
