That is pretty tough. Racism is usually in any city whether it is obvious or not. I know Lake Jackson has a blog site that talks about the local news from a racist point of view. That really caught me off guard to be such a small family-oriented town. My husband talks about how majority of his coworkers enjoy racist jokes, something he never experienced while living in the Northeast.

Lake Jackson does not have a blog site that is racist....that is a blog that belongs to some ignorant idiot....don't let that idiot make you feel that all of Lake Jackson believes that way.

I do not believe any of them harbor racism. There is only what a select few choose to cause to be racism that is talked about.

Racism is selective. Caused usually by isolated incidents.

There was racism 150 years ago as evidenced by the plantations but not now.

Racism is what some choose to be a problem.

Yes there are racist called jokes, but that does not mean there is racism, all ethnic groups have their own jokes, even about themselves.

Why start something that is not a problem. If it aint broke then dont fix it.

Why do you people automatically assume it's white on black...racism goes both ways. Have to admit, it's is a good card to turn to when you want something. Not even the president is above that.

Dead Negro Draw or Dead Negro Creek is in Lynn county near Lubbock not here in Brazoria.

Thanks Uncle Slappy. Amazes me, 2000 miles away and a know it all. Why is that racial anyway? Maybe a man or woman was found dead there. That was used long ago as a landmark. It is easier to give directions giving a description of something.

Which city DOESN'T harbor racism? That should be the question. I also agree it's not all about color.!!
