This is such a waste of money. New Fairfield High school is falling apart and they're wasting money on a communication system we don't even need.

Typical of hodge, if the radio system was so important why did it not come first several years ago. Plus this system will not fully work more money will be needed, mark my words.

Next election hope they vote this overs spender out.

It's too bad New Fairfield does not have a police department for the radio system.

Congratulations to the Town of NF for passing this project. It is about time our volunteers had the right equipment to do their jobs safely.

Well we finally got the communications system and we saved over $1,000,000 in doing it. Thanks to John Hodge and his team. Now the only Fire Department item left on our wish list is a new truck replacing the brush fire truck. With our triple A rating "we can do it!" Our triple A rating will allow us to spend over $100,000,000 million to fix up our schools. Without John Hodge where would we be?

Well we put this to a vote several months ago and it was voted down. Now this time I only heard a tiny bit about a vote. In fact none of my neighbors even knew. Yay, we Saved a 1 million, John would of spend it anyway if we didn't vote it down. Why didn't we save the Million Surplus for stuff that will effect us everyday. Roads, Police, full time Fire dept. I mean if we have a town with 14,000 people and 3 fire departments and we can't communicate to the other 30 guys standing around then we really are in trouble. This revote must of been a payback to the FD for something.

All I can think of is how we are going to get railroaded with the re-evaluations on our homes. This is going to be the election breaker.

If the school system didn't pay to hire nothing but useless secretaries instead of using money towards actual educational improvements, maybe it wouldn't be a problem.

Why don't we need the radio system? Because you say so? 60% of the town has radio coverage... thats almost half. So in almost half the town, if the fire department, ambulance, or police need to contact dispatch for help, they cannot do it effectively. Sure, the system isn't necessary until its YOUR house on fire or YOUR house being broken into...

More money spent to save some GD illegals. The town should focus on getting rid of all the dirty politicians and taking care of the townspeople. More tax payer money is wasted.

What does the school have to do with the radio bone head. Hodge has been pushing through waste spending. People really do not get what being fiscal is and that is not what hodge is. Not saying that NF does not need a new radio system but if it was so important why waste all the money on a football field, pushing through a concession stand/ pavilion, 2 delapidated houses that should have just been torn down. and dont give me the grant BS because if you ask kindly to the state they will allow you to move the grant money to other projects. hodge is a moron nothing more than that. spend on eye candy forget about the infrastructure then just keep throwing it up to vote until it passes. I want to see one vote a year for everything, if it does not pass then it cannot be voted until the following year plain and simple. but all the jo that live int he town just want the eye candy F hodge. I hope he gets voted out next term and I dont care long as it is not him.
