Is this guy for real? Anyone with a half a brain knows terrestrial radio is dead. Dead issue. There has been a paradigm shift to satellite radio. Anyone with talent is no longer involved with terrestrial radio. There will be a shift from mainstream radio, i.e. companies like WLAD trying to attract the masses to them trying to attract niche markets not served by satellite radio. I am just an idiot MBA business person. But if I was running WLAD I would probably switch over to an entirely Portugese language format, or Spanish format and attempt to attract the thousands of hard working people from those niche markets. They spend money, they have jobs, in the future they will be a major force. They don't listen to satellite. Instead of trying to compete with Sirius, which will never happen, transform into something Sirius isn't. Other wise watch the listeners and advertisers defect.

i like this new guy, as much I as like Larry Carriger (totally spelled it wrong) his fake voices were so annoying. This new guy has a good voice and I like his humor, not over the top. I think WLAD found a new listener in me, so thats +1

I agree with you up to a point. though WLAD does carry syndicated shows it's to their credit that they provide any regional programming at all, considering the bigger markets play pre-recorded and essentially interchangeable content.

I hate the new line up - I liked Dr Joy because her callers made me feel normal. I hate Dr Laura because she is a nazi freak radio psychologist and I really hate that I can't get the traffic report until 5:30 pm. Anybody listen to a station that gives the local traffic before 5:30 pm? I'm tuning WLAD out and listening to my own stuff. Ciao!

Oh, this is surprising. NOT! Hey isn't it ironic that Tribuna Newspaper (the mayors puppets) partner with WLAD, and WLAD now hosts both Rush Limbaugh AND Glenn Beck show, both of whom are notorious right wing republican immigrant bashers?
