1.OK dumb Al, the bond rating agencies don't look at taxes (only to see how low they are). They look at the demographics of the community and how conservative the budgeting is, the financial practices of the city, and how much savings the community has.
2.Every City did not have a reevaluation this year-are you that ignorant?
3.New Milford just got a negative forecast. So not every community goes up.
4. This year I received 2% tax increase with a 42,000 increase in my assessment.
5. Last year I received a 1.4% tax increase, 3.4% over two years is far below the rate of inflation.
Al, why do you lie, and lie, and lie. Just can't get over when the Mayor does a good job. Loser.
al's not here.

he has a blog.

take your psychotic schizophrenia and voices in your head over there.

Don't know who this Al is (must be someone who's critical of the mayor) but the originator of the comment obviously is someone working at Deer Hill right now.

Well genius, MY property taxes went through the ROOF. Boughton talked about 0-6 percent increase in EVERYONE'S taxes during his b.s. budget speech (the text is available online). Of course, this was aa big fat lie.

The PRIMARY FACTOR in a bond rating is how much revenue the city is bringing in (a.k.a TAXES). The budget is "conservative" simply because this mayor is using bonds for things that should be listed as operating expenses (i.e. police cars).

Now hurry up and pick up the mayor's lunch before it gets cold...

Wrong again Al. The rating agencies don't look at the budget for this year. Read the Fitch Report I saw it online somewhere yesterday. A hiring freeze is smart in this economy agencies look at the strong fiscal management. God you are so stupid. Go back to your job at McDonalds and get my kid a Happy Meal while you are there.

Let's see no AA rating? ummmm, Hartford, Waterbury, New London, Meridan, Bridgeport, I could go on and on. Get a life Al-and go back to your dopey blog. Gene is responsible for this? After 8 years..If anything his financial policies and inattention to our infrastructure almost buried this City.Nice work Mayor Mark. Want more details? Go to MayorMarksBlog.blogspot.com .
Eriquez ruined the landfill, mis-used dedicated landfill funds, went to China with his mistress, got drunk every night and still does. He was one of our worse mayors and now he's the town drunk.

Al, you don't even own a home. To busy running around with your dopey camera. The Mayor has said consistently that we would see "ON AVERAGE" a 6-7% increase. "ONAVERAGE" means some above the average, and some below. Duh...

No dummy, he said 0-6 percent increase and the text of his budget speech is on the CITY'S WEBSITE as well as in the News-Times archives. He changed his tune when the budget came for a vote.

and who the F is Al. If he's that hat city blog guy, does that make you that bigot bonehead DanburyDan?

All the writers who say "Good Job, Markie" forgot who made the bond rating go UP! It's the poor slobs who are scratching asd penny-pinching to pay their outrageous taxes.
Anyone can ge a good bond rating...it takes a LEADER to make a city manageable. Danbury is headed for the dumps....and corporate Republicans are taking us poor taxpayers for a RIDE.
Want to see change, stop bonding stuff for 20 years that will wear out in 3 years.
Vote these losers out of office and get some professional management in that will look out for the PEOPLE, not their little favorites.

Check out the city's tax bills on the web site conveniently hidden under Danbury's Tax Billing.

It's hard to find because no one wants you to find it.

You can see who got off cheap this year...like Boughton's taxes on his Alan Ave house went DOWN!!!

Ain't it a shame we suckers are paying MORE while he gets a break??

So did Democrats you moron-Like Warren Levy. That's because of the phase-in and the amount of your new assessment. It's not about who gets a "break" its about how much your property is worth.

And if you compare what "worth" is Joe, you come up with more "worth" for certain folks, and less for others.

Boughton's home is worth "less" with a new pool, and his "phase-in" means he gets a break?

That's B.S. and you know it.

The assessment is a joke, and has no rhyme or reason to it.

Look at what is fair and equitable, and then look at what people are paying in increases.

A 6% "average" means nothing.

Some people are paying over 50% more in taxes this year, and others get a break? Hogwash!!!

It's government double-speak, and it's going to catch up with Boughton and his cronies the next election....if he's not indicted first for his Galante transgressions.

If the rating went down..the loony haters would be blaming Boughton...haha what a laugh!!

Danbury loves Boughton..they re-elected him to a 4th term by a landslide.

The few malcontents just dont get it.

Thx for job well done Mayor Boughton!
