The statement that Galante has $$100,000,000.00 seems ridiculous..I question the VALUE judgements already..considering that Galante was a racketeer??..I think that there is an uneducated push to destroy people around you..Galante seems very much a buffoon..his plans to be available to Sen. Deluca seems a nitemarish spoof about each of the fools..the two have loose interpretations about reality..the Galante story seems the worst about business..and the best about BULL-oney..the money really seems the biggest lie.

The problem Galante faces stems from illegal bundled campaign donations. The investigation showed that he didn't make bundled donations to Democrats (for the exception of Joe Lieberman), he made these donations to Cappiello, DeLuca, and Boughton around the same period of time.

In the case of DeLuca, the state senator is on record making statements to uncover FBI agents saying that he would use his power at the Capitol to push bills that favored Galante's business.

Here's a timeline of events surrounding Cappiello and Galante:

* 2007 -- Cappiello was Against New Plans to Regulate Refuse Industry. After Galante's indictment, Cappiello opposed proposals for licensing trash haulers.(Danbury News-Times, June 12, 2007)

* 2005 -- Cappiello and DeLuca were two of just three senators to oppose a bill to expand the state's bottle bill by also letting water bottles be redeemed for deposit. A massive lobbying effort then killed the bill in the House, led by Sullivan & LeShane. While they represented the beverage industry, they were also representing Galante companies, and this bill would have hurt his bottom line by reducing municipal reliance upon curbside recycling. * 2004 -- Cappiello Voted Against Reforming "Evergreen" Contracts. One of the abusive features of Galante's company contracts were "evergreen" clauses, which he used in Connecticut even after such contracts had been outlawed in Westchester and New York City. In 2004, Cappiello voted in Judiciary Committee against SB 399, "An Act Concerning... Automatic Renewal of Consumer Contracts."
