Dude: Been around here forever. Better than its ever been. It'll be fine and NOT an empty storefront. Damascus is on the rebound.

rebound?.....c'mon,man.
the town didn't even support the new library/visitors center...that's what I mean, no focused or combined effort to promote the town.bike rentals and a shitty meal is all you're offering these days.

We are surprised that the news of the sale of Quincey's has taken so long to get a post on Topix. As the General Manager of the Q, let me give an official statement on the state of Quincey's.

The Q is doing very well. Like other businesses in this time of recession, yes, we are not doing as well as we have in the past, but we are doing well, and still growing. Over the next couple weeks, we plan to install a new "pub" door and a large HD projector. Thus, we can have family movie nights, UFC fight nights, or Wii video game competitions. We are continuing improvements on both the outside and inside of our restaurant, and we even have Chris Knight returning for a concert. Quincey's is in GREAT shape. Really.

Here are the reasons why the Q is for sale. Steve Sweet is the owner. He lives in Lebanon. He is having his second child. He cannot spend the time necessary to run the Q here in Damascus. Also, honestly, his name carries baggage. He and parts of his family have made mistakes. And he does not want Quincey's to be affected by those mistakes. Because Damascus never forgets, he feels it may be better if he leaves Quincey's in the hands of someone who does not carry the baggage that he carries. He loves this restaurant, and because of that, he feels that it is best to let it go.

The goal is to put the Q into the hands of someone who will continue the vision that Ronnie Reed and Steve Sweet envisioned for the Q, as well as continue to be an integral part of the community of Damascus. Quincey's will not die. It may change hands, but it will stay alive.

BTW, Sundance is playing this weekend. Come out for big fun. Also, I am at Quincey's M-F from 11-2 and Monday and Friday from 5-close, if anyone wishes to talk to me in person. I would love to hear from you.

are u people crazy on here everyone has something nasty to say oh, well, typical damascus right. ronnie and i started this restaurant back in 1990 worked very hard and very, very long hours we got up to 5 restaurants at one time just didn't have the time to justly run them all, sold all but the one in damascus. loved it, and the people, every one. we tried to treat everyone the same, everyone. if you were not treated well there, then there had to be a reason. we still have long time friends that we made at the restaurant, so we couldn't have been all that bad things change and people change. quinceys will aloways do well. it has been here as long as most businesses in this town. don't like it , donm't go. but you don't have to put down things yuou know nothing about. and ask any of our early employees, ron tried to treat everyone fairly, not with kid gloves, he called things the way there were, but fairly. got a p[roblem with us, we are easy to find and talk to. and why does no one put there names here, ashanmed or afraid????

Ronnie and Debbie Reed are some of the BEST people in town, have helped countless people buy homes, start new businesses, would give you the shirt off their back, what a cook Debbie is.Its not their fault Steve Sweet took the reins, with Ronnies help financialy and advice and drove the Q in the ground.Baggage hes got more than baggage hes got a rap sheet, take your sorry ass back to Lebanon and spread your filth there.
