Police ID Victim In SF Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist who was killed in a collision Thursday night in San Francisco has been identified by a medical examiner's office investigator Saturday as 42-year-old Daly City resident Hugh Hodgdon.

Hugh worked as our private chef for over 4 years. While eccentric, he was an exceptional chef mastering in French cuisine. There were many times when he utilized all six burners and two ovens at one time while listening to the Sharks game commenting on every play.

Originally from New Hampshire, Hugh would hunt and field dress game as a youngster. After moving to the Bay area, he worked in kitchens around the Bay Area before becoming our chef. My kids would always find him amusing and we loved his cooking. I think we still have some of his stocks frozen after 3 years of his leaving the house. We will never forget him.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2009, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, Waldo Avenue, Belfast, ME.
