where were the parents of the 14 year old? he should NOT be out that late . too many parents just do not care . i think they have kids, just to say. hey i have kids. they don't have them to love and teach . only to show that they do have kids. charge the parents as well for not keeping the teen at home or even not knowing and or careing where he is at night . my daughter is 24 and still lives with us. and she had better let us know where she is at all times. she is free to come and go to a certain point, but we better know how to get in touch with her. and she will NOT nbe roaming the streets like a complete idiot . thats why we have too many wild teens. the parents do not care and they think they are big and old enough to do what they please. our daughter has no problem with us wanting to know where she is at. she understands fully.

Its sad to hear what had happen. But what about the 2 other guys they are looking for in their 20's. Didn't here you mention anything about them. Your right what is a 14 yr old doing out there so late that time of nite. Please don't say they don't love there kid. I say it too. I have kids a well, matter of fact I have 3. And I love them as well. I hate to see if my kids were to sneek out of my house. But I tell you, I won't let them get away with it. I hope they catch the other 2 guys and give them what they deserve.

Firstly, jmg makes a good point. Just because they were Mexicans doesn't automatically make them illegals. Also, if Esteban were illegal, meaning he wouldn't have papers, why would the police bother giving his name to Border Patrol?
Jackie Martinez's death is tragic, especially since she died so young and right after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy. She was a wonderful half-sister and cousin. She is in our thoughts and prayers.
The death of this young woman should be the main focus of the accident, not whether the men who abandoned her were illegals or not.

I figured the people in the wrecked vehicle were hispaincs since the news did not Identify the immediately in the first release of this story. The media is afraid of being branded racist for telling the truth when the rising cause of most crimes in the Tri-county region is because of hispanics, and this ungrateful little heathen should have been given a 7 knot necktie party, strung up from a telephone pole and left to rot.When I was growing up 14 year olds did not carry guns for any reason except in the fields to hunt or at the range for target practice. These criminal elements amongst the hispanic community are out of control as they know the gringos can't fight back because of fear of being called a racist or extremist as well as the law abiding citizens in their neighborhoods are intimidated into being silent about the criminal activities in their midst, plus they do not fear punishment as the most this Juvie will get is a slap on the wrist and turned back on the strrets when he is 18 years old. Well that mentality has gotten us to this point where 14 year olds are not afraid to pull guns on those stopping to help them after an accident, much less on anyone whom they feel they can intimidate. This little creep is lucky the cabby did not have a CHL and pull a pistol and shoot him dead in the street. These creeps are the reason I carry a shotgun with me wherever I go and I will be in no hurry to stop and help anyone on the side of the road, after dark or anytime of the day, especially if they are Hispanics. Only when we are brave enough to throw off the shackles of PC induced fear and expose the problem for what it really is can we start to end this scourge, until then the criminal elements in all communities, especially the hispanic community will only get worse
