Dalton to sell $500K in land

Seven parcels of land taken by the town for back taxes since 2005 valued at nearly $500,000 will be sold at auction in December.

the town should save all that land for a future new post office, library , town hall, police station, to go along with the new senior center

This is a classic case of value determined by if you are buying or selling. $500,000 in value if you are selling, something less if you are buying. Dalton will be lucky to unload these properties and see anywhere near the $500K sum.

Agreed,but at least they will be sending out tax bills to people who may pay them!
