Hypocritical adults drivers toward teenage drivers

Adult drivers are toward teen drivers. We constantly tell them to drive slow, be careful, take their time, etc. However, having a teen son with a learner's permit and already having been through it with my daughter, I find adult drivers are BULLIES toward them. They are only 15 years old and driving is a whole new world to them. It dangerous enough as it is. It really makes them nervous when you come flying up behind them and ride their bumper or give them annoying looks or hand motions because they aren't going fast enough for you or turning as fast as you think they should or parking or pulling out of a parking space as fast as you. You get the point! Please start being more aware of our teen drivers that are doing their best to learn and learn safely! Next time you get ready to ride someone's bumper please remind yourself that could be your child or grandchild learning to drive someday. It's dangerous enough for them on the roads once they get out on their own. Let's don't encourage that behavior already.

I agree with "Hypocritical adult drivers....". We need to be more aware of the children.
One question Oh smart one....where's the slow lane on a 2 lane road? We'll make sure they don't take a hand off the steering wheel to wave at you stopped by the law or off in a ditch somewhere.

If you see a z with top down, just make sure the kiddies slow down enough so I can safely pass them, not speed up when I do go to pass on the two lane road you are asking about. That way atleast neither of us are in a ditch, when I cut them off.

People who like to brag about their little Z cars are compensating for their "little misgivings" elsewhere. Poor you! I think the person means the kids are going the speed limit and being careful and just wants people to be aware of them on the roads. You lose a kid one day and you will see what it's like!! They are dying too fast these days and we need to be encouraging them to drive safe not scaring them into a wreck because they are worried about the ****less man trying to make up for losses elsewhere driving around in his little Z.

Is that too much to ask off you moron? Oh, yea, it probably is. Since you don't have either brain to think with.

Hey I have a 19 yr old. Shes been driving something ever since she could walk. So I understand safety. But some people try to teach their kids how to drive & shit they've never learned how to drive themselves. So I have NO misgivings. As far as me bragging about my Z I'm not, but I do drive a sports car for a reason, to go fast. But when people are driving under the speed limit people like me get VERY mad!!! All we ask is do the speed limit either a new or old driver.

Good for you. Hope you're teaching your 19 year old to drive too fast too. Most of all, I hope and pray she gets to her destination safely everytime. Sounds to me like you are getting your forums mixed up. This has nothing to do with the other discussion. Who said they were going under the speedlimit? The lady didn't metion they were going below the speed limit. It's the posted speed limit! Then idiot men like you trying to compensate for other areas they lack want to have the bully "short" man syndrome and make everyone think they are big and bad by driving their "little" sports cars to go along with their other "little" things. You don't have a clue at how many people out there love to block people like you in. I'm one of those that laughs all the way to my destination watching you in the rearview mirror cussing the whole time.

Thanks CMC for bringing up motorcycles. We ride and it is so frustrating so see people texting and not paying attention to their surroundings. We have been in near miss crashes on our motorcyle where drivers of all ages are not paying attention or texting while driving. New teen drivers, please be aware of all your surroundings and look in all mirrors before changing lanes. Unlike our harley that is loud, some motorcycles may not have the Vance & Hines or Rinehart exhaust so you can't hear them as well as ours.

And when we meet on the road you will learn a new meaning to nuts & bolts, that is if your honda can keep up.

So you're a girl.....then you know what they say about the haints in their sports cars. You think nice car but the woman driving it "haint" much to look at. Get back on subject and just watch out for everyone else. If you feel the urge to speed and bully then don't get on the road between the hours of 7AM and 10PM.

I dont care what others think of me, as far as calling me a "haint" you should have just used the correct word "BITCH" it means the same thing & that I'm 100%!!!

But anyway the only thing that I'm stating is teach your kids dont go 10mph under the speed limit, dont speed up just because someone goes to pass them, & watch for motorcycles.

This is my last post on this matter, this subject is boring me!

I agree with hypocritical..especially when people come up behind the kids and honk for them to get going just because the adult is in a hurry.
And, yes, of course teenage drivers should look out for motorcycles (and everyone else) but motorcycles need to look out for them too and quit going 90 miles an hour weaving in and out of cars with NO turn signal also.
