Well, we can either sit and type about it all day long or do something about it.

http://www.europeanamericansunited.org

The National Council of La Raza ("The Race") is attempting to revive argument killing "white guilt" by launching a new campaign, "We Can Stop the Hate," which brands those who question the massive illegal alien invasion from Mexico as "haters." La Raza President Janet Murguia managed to work the buzzword "hate" twice into just one sentence: "Hate groups and extremists have taken over the immigration debate in an unprecedented wave of hate."

While La Raza is attempting to replicate similar "white guilt" efforts that have proved successful for other special interests, the sheer volume of illegals is likely to prevent much sympathy being generated in America outside of corporate agenda groups already on La Raza's side.

La Raza should also consider dismissing their PR person: The name of the "We Can Stop the Hate" campaign is reminiscent of the infamous "ˇSí, Se Puede!" ("Yes, We Can!") series of marches nationwide that were a public relations bomb. The sight of millions of illegal aliens waving flags from Latin America and demanding special rights infuriated Americans and was the single greatest factor in generating the grassroots campaigns that sank subsequent amnesty plans and set the "immigrant rights" movement back.

La Raza seems to object to some of the most effective language coming from the patriotic side of the issue, especially the image of an "invasion," which the flood of illegal aliens clearly is.

While censorship is perfectly acceptable in Latin American political culture (as well as violence), in America people are protected by the First Amdendment, something that racist groups, and their corporate sponsors, clearly find to be unsettling.

To me the unemployment rate in Dalton is due to the economy, especially the carpet mills. Construction on new homes has gone down, therefore less need to carpet those homes.

I Moved back to this Area last year after spending several years in Atlanta and getting to the point of going insane so "comming home" seemed like a good idea, unfortunately the Job Market seems to be non-excistant. I mean I apply to Job after Job from here to Chattanooga Tn with no Response even when I see signs claiming "NOW HIRING". I can't help but wonder if it is in fact something to do with the spanish community or the fact I don't speak Spanish but the last time I checked this was the United States but somedays I'm not sure anymore. Is the "American Dream" really over or is it just Sleeping?

Praise the Lord for his wonderful works toward the children of men! I am white and a born murray co georgian. Alot of people hate the hispanics because the will actually work. The bellyaching white population who want to whine and cry are most of the time those lazy guys at work who think they should be paid because the are American. Get out and work hard and nobody will fire you,if you do a good job and keep God as the main priority in your life, you will be o.k.

I've yet to see anywhere the Latinos work harder then the Whites. I've noticed both at Mohawk and Shaw Plants that production and quality would be greatly improved if they would take a closer look at their hiring practices.
