CHS kids choose to go there. DUH! MCHS is a private school in a county where one school is subpar and the other is like a mansion..... Where do you think people are going to go? It is really rude to say NO TALENT when these kids work their hearts out. They are just kids. You are the true loser. Show some respect.

<quoted text>That is no excuse . Christian Heritage had only 31 players. Murray County should never lose to a High School with only 112 students. That game last night showed me that the program is officially dead. I really hate to see happen. I really did not expect that outcome last night. Very very embarrassing for those boys. They deserve better than that. Made me sick hearing those Coaches scream at the players to not quit. For the love of god how many beating do they have to take to get a real Coaching staff in Murray County. Our school has been left to die a slow death while Queen Maria gets whatever the hell she wants. Enough is enough. I have been a fan and a financial supporter for years but that ended last night. I love those boys but I can't watch that junk anymore.
Why do you want to place some of the blame on Maria Bradley? She has nothing to do with what goes on at MCHS. Place the blame where it belongs...on the coaches. After all Mrs.Bradley has the winning team now, she picked the right coaches and she didn't go wrong in that. Wow..a fan and financial supporter for years and now pulling out? It sounds a bit childish to me, seems your not getting what you want and now going to pull your little wad of money you say you give. Whiner!!

How sad-a school with 100 high school students in the lowest classification is putting it on Murray County at half. Yeah we needed another high school so that our schools could compete. Not! In all fairness, North Murray has been able to bring in coaches during the "hiring from the outside freeze" while Murray County has had to hire from within the school and have no coaching. People with kids at Murray need to put the pressure on school oficials.
Murray has practically been abandoned by the "athletes" for a newer and obviously nicer school. Why should one end of the county have so much and the other have so little? Hmmmmm, something to think about. I know, why don't we all just jump on over to the mansion since most everyone is there anyway. Take a tour of it. There was never a need for our county to be in debted so we would have something to show off because most of our citizens live in poverty! Haves and have nots. Maybe we would use a change in administration. Lots of changes.

I have to say i wasnt surprised by the outcome of the game. Christian Heritage is indeed a small school in population but it is overly saturated with atheletes compared to its size. Many of the kids were allready playing at the surrounding schools and decided they wanted to make the move for education or other reasons. Murray County I feel your pain as I have watched the SHS Football program suffer for years.

Sense to me. Stop pointing fingers and do something about it. And as for hiring out of the system for new coaches, look at it like this. North Murray isn't doing the whole corrupted "buddy" system that that Murray is. The reason "queen Maria" got to hire outside of the system is bc she fired people who were not doing their job, teachers left the system, AND some retired. Leaving many open teaching jobs. Do you think Linder is going to fire her "buddies" especially her husband who coaches football? When Linder leaves Murray and someone gets in there and truly knows what they're doing they will hire teacher that teach and set higher standards for student to meet AYP and they will hire coaches who coach just like north Murray did. So stop blaming north Murray for taking steps to be a better place for students just because Murray county will not take this steps.

I agree! Not everyone is going to agree with everything that the school systems do, but for North Murray to always be blamed when Murray County's football, softball, baseball, basketball, AYP, and everything else at Murray County HS, is not doing well is nonsense. I believe when NM first opened, it was feared they would lose all their athletes to the "new school", then when the athletics had a hard time the first year people backed off a little. Then the NM softball team made it to region - gaskets were blown because MC softball team didn't improve. NM track did great. NM soccer went to, I believe, state this past year. NM volleyball was a success. NM football program didn't do well the first couple of years but nothing was said because MC was not doing well either, BUT now that NM has a new coach, have been practicing for hours every day, going to camps during their summer, and have won their first 2 games and MC still is not doing well, PEOPLE (again MC parents, students, past alumni), are SCREAMING "not fair"!!--- PLEASE!!! Maybe if you put as much effort in making a stand to find ways to improve your school / athletics as you do crying about another school doing better than you , then maybe you can make a difference.

As a MCHS alumni and CHS parent, last night's game was NOT easy to witness. On the one hand, I am very proud of the job Coach Poag and his staff are doing at CHS and am excited about the future, but I am also disheartened at the lack of support the Indians have and it starts at the top! NM as well as CHS are perfect examples of what good coaches can do. CHS has very small numbers but perform well, numbers is no excuse. The school system needs to look at the the admin. at MCHS and address the obvious lack of leadership, cut some inflated salaries and hire a coach. Those kids deserve so much better.

No shame in losing to CHS. Small private schools all over the state have some of the best teams. In class A, the public and private schools will have separate playoffs this year because private school have an almost unlimited service area to pull from. The small private schools have few students but are loaded with athletes.

That is where I have to say you are wrong! It doesn't matter if you have talent if there is no hussle and drive. No one even cares if they loose anymore at Murray.

Splitting the kids had nothing to do with it. It's coaches and mentality. I loved coach C just as much as everyone, but these coaches now know what we needed, and it's showing by our 2-0 record. Murray gets best because they go into every game with the mentality that they are going to lose. It's not always talent. It's heart, and how you use it.

Come on..mchs will be back in a year or two.. NMHS may not win another game this year.. CHS has small students but they got the cream of the crop! Southeast has sucked for years. Only team around this area that's worth a crap is Calhoun.. Dalton ain't what they was! But one thing about dalton is their not beat before they walk on that field!!

Nm will at least go 5-5 this year if not better. The region they are in is relatively weak this year. I'm glad nm brought in coaches that are dedicated and actually want to win. Murray has been in trouble since coach Napier left years ago. I would say that Murray has to be one of, if not the worse team in the state. Its not that there losing games but they can barely score. New coaches from outside county should be brought in instead of looking within the school because we have seen that doesn't work. Murray had the chance to bring an outside person before hiring previous coach but chose to fill from within and we see how that worked out.

Murray's coach should step up and be a man and step down. I was at the game Friday and the things going on on the sideline with the coaching staff was embarresing. Huge buddy system at mchs and Linder...you are to blame. Even the band has took a nose dive. The football team has no heart, the band has no heart...what is happening to our school.

Specifics on what was going on with the coaches on the side line?

I totally agree. Gina has the money to hire coaches. Lots and lots of money. She just will not part with it even if it means the constant humiliation every week. I don't know how she does it. I have begged and pleaded. It's going to take and uprising from parents to the school board before anything changes. And, not screaming and accusing but a coming together and working together to better our football program. These coaches have been here forever!!!! Please, please parents and supporters, do something now!!!!

And where is this lots and lots of money? Coaches are paid because they are teachers! If you haven't noticed there are furloughs and budget cuts in every department. Supplements for coaching have been cut as well. Really? You must be an expert in school finance. Please lend your suggestions for locating this "lots and lots of money"!

Overpaid administrators and athletic directors are where "lots and lots of money" can be found. The adults in this county and school system should be ashamed that they have let this school go so far down hill. As was stated in an earlier post did you not see how many Murray families are at CHS? These parents have seen the writing on the wall and are trying to better their children's education but not all of us have that choice. Linder and Company need to go!

I see CHS only winning against Murray this year. I don't think they were that great. Just wait on that. They beat Murray because Murray is beat down. I am proud of those boys for STILL stepping out on that field everyweek knowing they are not ready or capible to win, that is courage. I agree the principle and athletic director and Coaches are more to blame than (no talent) NM had horrible seasons, Calhoun and Dade wiped the floors with our tails... But this year they have worked extra hard, my son said it was 3 times harder under Gann than coach C. I have high hopes for the season but if we don't win another game we are STILL better than we were. Murray Parents its time to take control of whats happening at that school! Believe me, North Murray parents would!

That school and those administrators have taken pay cut after cut. Since Gina Linder has been principal the graduation rate has gone from 58% up to 86.6%. That is who you want gone because of football? Can regret our priorities in order? Murray has the LOWEST PAID ADMINISTRATOR IN THE RESA DISTRICT. Google RESA if you don't understand!
