There is no EXCUSE for leaving the scene of an accident! I don't care who's fault it was at this point I think the driver should lose his license to drive! It was completely irresponsible of him. I hope they catch him/her.

The right to drive on America's roads is a privilege not a right.

O.K. I see they did catch him. And as I suspected he is saying to boy ran out in front of him. Well at this point it doesn't matter. The fact that he left the scene of an accident without stopping puts him in the wrong PERIOD!!! I hope they throw the book at him.

I don't feel sorry for him at all! If he had stopped and called for help etc. and it was determined that it was the boys fault than I'd say fine let the matter drop. The boy learns not to swerve out in front of oncoming traffic and the driver learns to pay closer attention when he sees a cyclist on the road. But not stopping! You have no idea the amount of ANGER that boils up inside of me when I hear that a motorist hits a cyclist and DOESN'T STOP! They can't punish him hard enough to suit me. It's a good thing I am not that boys dad.
