Dirty, dirty politics.

The facts are he was charged back in May of 2010. Don't understand how they knew he was going to run for office a year before he actually filed to run? How can politics be involved? This guy did something that was deemed harrassment, found guilty, and sentenced. Seems like they listened to the facts. No dirty politics here, just something he didn't want anyone to know about.

You have your facts wrong. He was found NOT GUILTY by a JURY OF HIS PEERS on all charges that were deliberated by the jury. He was found guilty of harassment by Judge Kelley because the harassment does not go before a jury. Judge Kelley, who has been removed from the criminal bench, findings were inconsistent with the Jury of Peers, however, Judge Kelley did hear the Petition for Reconsideration of the charge and reduced the sentence as he felt the sentence he gave initially was excessive for a minor summary harassment offense. An appeal can still be taken to the Superior Court on this summary charge by him, also.

P.S. Let's not forget: he's still GUILTY of summary harassment of a minor. He didn't get jail, but he is on probation. Probation is only given to the GUILTY!! Law abiding people are not placed on probation.

I have always heard that a candidate most likely is making inquiries into the position a year before the race. They could have seen him as threat. Maybe an investigation is in order. Just thinking out loud.

I noticed a lot of the comments asking for an inquiry were removed. This kind of action makes me even more suspicious about the two cops. It smells of a cover up. Stranger things have happened.

Maybe his probation officer can go out and campaign with him !!

This guy seems to me to be a real nut. How can he expect to run for an office of this magnitude with these credentials?????????? It seems to me that he ought to stick with his new business venture that he trying to create and let the experienced candidates fill the position. I wonder if the people that allowed him to place his signs on their property were aware of his background?????????? I bet not or they would not be there. There is no way that you can convince me as a long time resident of york township that honest people would want this man sitting on the bench judging similar cases. If anybody that reads this is a true friend of him they should advise him to drop out.

His sign reads the voice of the people. Is he really the TRUE voice of the residents of YORK TOWNSHIP????????? I don't think so. Integrity is the main aptitude for something this important... The only voice that I want to hear from him is none.

Thank you, York Dispatch, for your timely reporting!! This guy might have gotten away with an enormous fraud if you hadn't published your article yesterday. I agree: anyone who was duped into putting up this guy's sign ought to take it down. And if Zervos has any integrity, he ought to withdraw from the race. How dare he cry about what all of this has done to him and his family?? What about the 17 year old boy and his family? Can you imagine what they are going through having to relive the incident in the newspaper? He should apologize to them, apologize to the good citizens of our Borough and Township, and go away.
