Shawn Wagner, Adams County District Attorney, has done NOTHING to investigate the breaking of the law which unlawfully shifted taxes to 89% of us. He is unopposed on the ticket. Write-IN SOMEBODY (a real person please) to show your displeasure with his poor performance. As far as I can tell, he's an empty seat in the Courthouse.

Former Adams County commissioner George Weikert is a has been. This man endorsed an illegal reassessment that created unfair hardships on many county residents. He played to the affluent at the Links.

ANYONE BUT WEIKERT

Shawn Wagner is ignoring one of the biggest criminal acts in Adams County history. The incumbent Adams County commissioners have knowingly and illegally shifted hundreds of tax dollars to over 40,000 property owners every year for the last six years!!!!! And he refuses to even investigate it. Do you consider this doing your job "for the people". I think he is one of the "good ole boys" that George has wrapped around his finger.

Here's how I'm voting and why. I reviewed the York Daily Record Voters Guide at www.ydr.com/guide . My bias is for more educated candidates and against former police officers.

Common Pleas Judges for 2 new seats
Trebilcock: trial experience, set up free PFA office
Blocher: Public Defender, from Hanover
[Other 5 candidates are prosecutors or divorce lawyers]

District Magistrate Judge to replace Leppo in 19-3-06
Reilly: law degree

County Commissioner
Reilly: bachelors degree

Sheriff
Keuerleber: Dickinson Law grad, incumbent but weak opponent

Register of Wills and Clerk of Courts
Jacobs: incumbent but weak opponent

Heidelberg Township Supervisor
Bollinger: not incumbent, new blood on Board

PLEASE DO NOT VOTE RANDY PHEIL - he is a true politician from Cumberland Twp. He has no true ideas or goals - he only provides simple info to make you think he knows what to do!! He has said the same things at every candidate's meeting and it amounts to nothing. Actually - he did not attend 2 of them - because he feels he has this election won and really has not worked the campaign!! He has $$$$ and influence behind him so please don't be fooled - Vote for one of the others running (not Weikert)!!

I agree with Becky.. I heard the candidates speak as well. Randy has to read everything from a piece of paper, notes others have written for him. Did you know his campaign associate Stan Clark donated money to Weikert's campaign. Randy also has an agenda he runs the Battlefield Re-enactments as a business and makes money off of that. It is a conflict of interest. Also did you notice all the big billboards, signs etc, he is trying to buy the election. If we vote him in it will be more of the same. Also when he was asked about the sale of the county home, he didn't answer it direct,he went all around the subject, again a politican...

It sounds as if, at least between Dubs and Dows, we have a choice of two good candidates; my vote is with Dubs, however, as I've heard he's done a great job thus far of being impartial, practical, and professional.

If you think county taxes are high now, they will skyrocket even higher if Weikert and Moreno are reelected.

They are true "tax and spend" liberals, have their own agenda and could care less about the taxpayers.

Jim Martin and Dave Reindollar have the honesty and necessary skills to get Adams County taxes back to a manageable level---they will listen to us--- unlike Weikert who silences the public.
