Republicans abandon ship!

The ugly and brutal thrashing the Republicans took this last election wasn't lost on ALL of them.

Saxby Chambliss essentially just gave the finger to
Grover Norquist and his silly little pledge.

Chambliss apparently felt it might actually be in the interest
of his constituents of Republicans quit acting like babies
and perhaps apply some common-sense. He actually deserves
some credit for having a bit of spine for once.

I forgive you as everyone misspells and makes mistakes now and then. The problem with this site is that you can't go back and edit a typo or spelling error after it has been posted.
You are really giving the Republicans hell. It doesn't really bother me as I have told you many times that I am not a Republican and that I really wasn't very fond of Romney but I would vote for him because I didn't think that he was a Socialist. Simple.

There are many people that post on here that have some conservative views and didn't want Obama to win. It didn't mean they were all Republicans. It meant that they didn't want Obama to win a second term. That is what many liberals can't understand.
I still say I am not a Republican and I still don't like Communism and never will. Why so many people seem to like Communism I have no clue except that they are clueless.

I'll ask you again and maybe you'll answer this time, instead of cutting and pasting some drivel from Kneel Boortz. What does Obama have to do with communism? Define comunism and explain how Obama fits that definition. I know you can't and you won't.

Who even talks about communism any more? Probably the old white men who propped up Romney (when they didn't even like him). People who throw around the terms communism and socialism for things they don't like really don't know what the terms mean. There are very well run Socialist countries -Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and more that have a better education system, high percentage of home ownership, excellent healthcare, lower crime rate etc than we in the USA do.

Interesting that someone referenced 4 Nordic countries, they are socially "socialist", but economically "capitalist". There's that evil word again, capitalist...

Norway is "big" in oil and gas, Sweden in natural resources (pulp and paper) and manufacturing, not so sure about Finland. I know Denmark has a lot of porn and agriculture...

If memory serves correct, Sweden (for sure) and I think Denmark have (or had) amongst the largest tax to GDP ratios in the world...

They also produce some pretty good hockey players.

Couple other MAJOR points:

(1) check and see what the population is in each of those countries and compare it to various states in the US. Bit surprising? Do you REALLY believe the "Nordic model" would "work" in this country?

(2) from what I learned from Swedish business partners, "everyone" in those countries is well educated, their education systems put ours to shame.

So, will what works fairly well for countries with individual populations smaller than states like Georgia or Ohio work in the US?

If you combine the population in the Nordic countries it wouldn't be greater the highest populated state, or second, maybe not even 3rd or 4th...Is that the apples and oranges comparison you seek?

Hey Dude I have been reading about this kind of stuff for a while. I think that maybe you are right about some of these people as they do seem to have at the very least socialistic way of looking at everything. I think you have opened a can of stink and they know it. They do protest very loud. You have made them mad. I hope you are wrong but it does look that you are right. I WOULD say that I'm republican,however, I'm not a homophobe and I don't care what/if someone worships anything or anyone. Other than that, I support the fiscal conservativism. So, if you want to call me a republican, I'm good with that. On the other hand, if a third party would run someone who doesn't LOOK like he/she is crazy for cocoa puffs, and if I liked what he/she had to say, that person would have my vote. So, I'm not denying republicanism, but I'll NEVER vote for a democrat. You can take THAT to the bank.

We went over this MONTHS ago. You are comparing apples and oranges. I noticed that BillinDville covered it quite well, so there is no use in going over it again. You won't acknowledge it anyway. Wasted effort.
