Wow! That is expensive - Too much for a gym in Cumming without a pool and ball court.

LocalReviewer46 I agree. The Owner, manager and staff are not friendly or helpful. I spoke, in person, with a staff member about some issues I had and was told, "Maybe Bodyplex isn't for you.” I left a message for the manager to call me to discuss these issues; he failed to return my call. How about that for customer service…Bodyplex at this location has no idea what “Customer Service” means. The cardio equipment and area is always dirty and nasty.$80/month for my wife and me is too much to pay for a dirty facility. I've never seen anyone cleaning the equipment. The TV’s on the cardio equipment have poor reception. The music is poor and does not encourage one to workout. The location is terrible and is difficult to enter or exit the parking lot. There is very limited parking. This place just isn't worth the price. I do not recommend Bodyplex at this location.

I think these negative comments are posted by a competing gym. I have always found Bodyplex in Cumming to be clean and the reception on the TV's is excellent, better than mine at home. The gym is underpriced if you ask me, for all that it offers. And, no contract. Lots of fun classes. Helpful staff. I have been a member of 3 local gyms and this one is by far the best. I have recommended Bodyplex in Cumming to several co-workers and they all joined and love it.

Jane - My negative comments are simply about my personal experience at Body Plex on Bethelview Road. I am not affiliated with any other competing gym. My experience at Body Plex was by far and away the worst I've had. If you think the place is under priced, I've got some ocean front property in Colorado I'd like to sell you. If you think the facility is clean, perhaps they've decided to hire a service or you need glasses. If the TV reception at Body Plex is better than yours at home ... I'm sorry. The staff was never helpful or courteous.

To Disappointed2,
I myself have belonged to many gyms over the years and by far BodyPlex in Cumming on Bethelview Rd has proven to be the best in my opinion. I'm sorry you had a poor experience there. I'm actually surprised because the staff and my experience have been nothing short of excellent. I will agree the expense is much but it is a no contract month to month to where as most gyms will want at least a 1 year contract. BodyPlex also offers membership savings, encouraging each and every member to follow through and lower their month to month rate. From the owners to each and every member of the staff I've had nothing but plesant encounters. The other point I will agree with you on is the parking. I hope this gets resolved because as the gym grows and other vendors open stores in that strip, there will be NO parking. If you don't plan to reconsider then check out Gold's in Cumming. It's an excellent gym. Small but afordable and friendly. Then Atlanta Fitness (new gym on Windimere Parkway) another fine gym.
Stay fit, stay strong.

I have worked out at most of the Gyms in Cumming and Alpharetta. Whoever is complaining about the price needs a reality check.$40 a month is nothing. Perhaps you should look into a higher paying job or get off welfare. The staff at the Bodyplex gym in Cumming is nothing less than professional, the equipment is very clean and if you have a problem with it, grab a bottle and a cloth and wipe it off.

I love how people come on the internet and complain about things. Life is too short to complain about anything. Just be glad you have the freedom to work out as you please. If you dont like a gym, so be it, but dont damage a businesses reputation by posting crap on the internet about it.

Get a life.

I love everything about BodyPlex Cumming & all the people who work there! It is the cleanest gym I've ever used. All of the employee's are friendly, helpful & very professional. I think the negative comments must have been written by a competitor who knows BodyPlex has more to offer! People need to see for themselves what BodyPlex has to offer! It's well worth the price & the people there are WONDERFUL!

I joined Bodyplex in November and didn`t pay a dime until January. I didn`t get offered a no contract plan. I had to sign one. But thats OK. I have been useing the gym 3 or 4 times a week and I cannot complain. My monthly cost is less than $40... The building and equip looks new and clean. I like the cardio stuff and the weight machines. I have not had any problems with any staff. They are always polite and have answered any questions that I have had. The only thing I do not like is the access from bethelview. I have to go down to the grocery store and turn around to get into the parking lot, but thats not Bodyplexs fault. That would be the counties fault. Other than that, no complaints.

We joined Bodyplex just this month. I can say that short of a pool it has everything needed in a gym. We moved from NY and were paying 50 a month each and the LA Fitness we were members at had all the same stuff. Plus the pool wich I didn't use anyways. THe staff all are courteous and greet you when you come in,and the equipment and training areas are all kept in great clean shape. And short of the dryer going out for 2 days the towels are a pleasant bonus they offer. All in all if you're looking for a 1 or 2 year commitment you can't go wrong.

So, what gym do you work for? This is the most absurd review. Not a single thing is remotely accurate!

Let me tell you the truth:

1)This gym is spotless. Every time I am there, there are employees cleaning the equipment and every morning at 5am I can tell the entire gym has been cleaned overnight.

2)The staff are very friendly. I am greeted everytime I come in and leave. The manager and owner are always professional, helpful and geniunely nice. In fact, the smoothie bar remembers exactly how I want my shake.

3)There are TVs everywhere - on every cardio machine - with perfect reception. To say otherwise, it just untrue. You can change the channels to anything you want.

4)The music is awesome! Not to mention, the staff will take requests.

5)Additionaly, the classes are awesome including hot yoga. The tanning beds are kept very nice and clean. The childcare is free and is nice to be able to watch my child while doing cardio via the TV monitor.

6) The entrance is a city/county issue and has nothing to do with Bodyplex. In fact, the gym has started a petition and is willing to front there own money to have it reworked.

Obviously, I love this gym and would recommend it to my friends. The previous review is so off the mark.

The only complaint I can think of is they seem to run out of towels alot. 2 of my last three visits they were out of towels which is no big deal because I have hundreds of little white towels and I can just start bringing my own. It`s a good workout gym. I like it.

I have never visited the Bodyplex in Cumming but the price of $40 a month or $80 for a couple seems excessive. There are several gyms in Cumming that offer the same or more for lots less. They don't have a pool or a hot tub and obviously the parking and location are less than desireable.

This is a workout gym for those who are serious about working out, the Y is better suited for families because of all the recreational opportunities they offer, but if you are joining for a workout, this is a great place. I used to be a member of the Y and it is nice, but this place has MUCH better classes, many more classes and larger class room. I haven't met an instructor that wasn't helpful. I visited several other clubs for 3 months before joining here, for the $30-$40 a month for all the cardio, resistance and free-weight equipment usage, free fitness classes (5 types + senior class) and free yoga, hot yoga and bodyflow, not to mention cycling, and childcare this is a deal. With all that it offers, you can mix up your workouts. I have been happy with the place and can't imagine that anyone would actually be dissappointed with this place.

Price is high. Dawsonville charged $179 per year. Biggest problem with BodyPlex is corporate service.
Unfortunately BodyPlex Cumming represented at public events by kids who are more interested in eating than speaking with potential patrons. Look around, better deals in same area to be found/

if you have a problem with bodyplex cumming, maybe working out just "isn't for you". I have been with bodyplex cumming for over a year now and I would never consider cancelling my membership. the customer service is outstanding. whenever there's a problem they are more than willing to help. the music is flexible at the gym. they have it on pandora radio so if you don't like the music- ask them to change it. you obviously went in there with a poor attitude because the gym you have described is most definitely not bodyplex cumming. if you don't think this gym is clean, I'd love to see your definition of clean. every time I am there the staff is upstairs on the cardio deck or in the advanced training area cleaning and working their asses off. I applaud every single staff member and if I were the manager I'd be very proud to call them my team. I am proud to say I am a member at one of the best gyms in the state. if you were not satisfied with bodyplex cumming, good luck finding a gym that does satisfy you.
