Everywhere you look these days some one has lied about something: I recently tripped and fell over one of the Democratic Signs: After getting my lower right lip and right cheek sewn up by the emergency room Doctor: Not that it was anyones business: I spent most of yesterday at work talking with people who kept asking me what happened to your/my face and lip: When I told them what really happened: They did not believe me:I finally got tired of their questions and I started telling them that if they thought that I looked bad they should have seen the other woman that got beat up: Even thought I had been telling them the truth all along they preferred to believe otherwise: I just don't get it: It's bad enough that we have our Politicians lying to us: Do we really have to lie to our Families, Friends, Neighbors and the People that we work with: Has this become a Society of Liers, Cheaters and Stealers with no concience at all? I prefer to tell the truth no matter who it hurts: I figure that telling it like it really is: Is much better then it really isn't:

Your right 2Sips, no one really needs it, but as a whole people have become so accustomed to it that they seemingly can't live without it… from news stories on TV to Radio reports, to co-workers who want to know what happen… because drama is fun when it’s not happening to them. In the end they don’t want the truth, they want the embellishments of drama to make dramatic for them so they can embellish it further when they retell it to someone else.

Billy Joel says....."But I don't want some pretty face to tell me pretty lies.....All I want is someone to believe." I agree with him.

That reminds me of a recent Town Council meeting where the public was complaining about all the bad press about Colonial Beach. Well my guess is all those people bought a paper themselves. If the papers don't print bad stuff there's a lot of them left over at the end of the week. Bad news in the paper, you can't find one the day it hits the stands. 2-sips hope your ok.

Babbit Ishkabibble: Thank you, I am much better now: The Bumps and Bruises are still healing: The ER Doctor said that it would take about 2 or 3 weeks before they would fade away: People are still stopping me wanting to know what happened: So I tell them the ulgy brutal truth of my fall: If they believe me so be it: If they don't believe me so be it: Thanks again B I.

I noticed little lady that you made a very eloquent and to the point statement, so why is it the yahoos around these parts judge your post so badly? We don’t treat our women folk like that in Texas. They must be raised wrong. Ya'll get better quick.

Miss 2 sips: I am so sorry to hear about your nasty fall. It doesn't take but a split second for something like this to occur. It is difficult to imagine how something like this could happen to such a dear person. Please take care of yourself and get some rest. People will say what they wish, but you know the truth and that's all that really matters.

2sips I fell once, way back when i lived at Ellinore Park. I was getting out of my Gremlin, carrying my groceries from the old A&P. My feet got tangled in the seat belt and woops, there I go landing on my buttocks. My cantaloupe went rolling across the street and into the Potomac. My shrimp were picked off by some buzzard & my tomatos were squished by some car going by (ignoring me), And all my neighbors could do is stand there and laugh. No one would ever believe the truth of what happened to my groceries. I feel for you girl.... I hope you heal up soon!

Not sure about that, but it was the car of choice of Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey), hosts of the Aurora, Illinois-based cable access television show "WAYNE's WORLD". Hummm? Garth Algar (and my last name is Alger? a relative maybe?... LOL)
