Rock the Beach
Colonial Beach Rock and Blues Festival June 22-24 | by JOSEPH NORRIS, Staff writer
Dom and Charlene Salemi moved to Colonial Beach, Va. about three years ago with an idea to help the town fronting the Potomac River return to its previous notoriety as a tourist destination.
“We wanted to make Colonial Beach a jumping off point for local musicians,” Dom said. “We went to various venues and said, ‘Let’s make the town a little different. Let’s have a two or three-day music festival.’ That’s exactly what we did. We approached the owners here at High Tides on the Potomac, Bryan and Vickie Koffman, and they have supported us in this from the very beginning. We wanted to give the proceeds to the Organization for Autism Research.”

I won't make it, I'd like to hear some live "Music to build bombs by" courtesy the K man! That is not to be THIS time :)
I did add your url as an update to both the va.general and alt.music festivals newsgroups. Hope it generates visitors :)

The Boardwalk was hopping Saturday night! Sounded good to me from the end of the fishing pier. I also enjoyed the fact that some folks came by boat to enjoy the concert and dropped anchor overnight.
Thank you Dom and Charlene, Bryan and Vickie.
