She's gonna keep an eye out for him next time she gets on the bus.
First of all shame on the people who made the one eye jokes, let your child get stabbed in the eye and blinded for the rest of their life and see if how you like those jokes then, trust me they will break you heart every time! I was stabbed in the eye at the age of 17, 7/6/2003, with a 6 inch steak knife by a co worker of mine while we were in an arguement, I did not have a weapon, I was attacked, my lens and most of my iris was cut out intially, the knife came cenimeters from my brain stem, she was charged with AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON, though I do relaize the laws for charges in the type of assault may be different in Florida, she was sentenced to 17 years in prison, I am blind for the rest of my life in my right eye, have had serious psychological issues as far as communicating with others in stressful situations, nightmares, flashbacks, and though I have never been racist and continue to have african american friends, I was absolutely terrified to be anywhere near an african american that I did not know. I have had 5 surgeries in the last 5 years, I have had many many many doctor visits, I am going today because the pain in my eye is excruciating today, I have to do eye drops multiple times a day, these eye drops sting very badly. Well now after all this my doctor wants to take my eye out, which they initially wanted to do but they saved it, my first surgery the day I was stabbed to repair and inflate my eye back was 3 eye surgeons for 5 hours. The maximum sentence she could have gotten here was 20 years, she will be eligible for parole in 2014. Please think before you speak, no one eye jokes they are not funny, they are extremely hurtful, EVERY single day a stranger asks me whats wrong with my eye, I have to live with the remnants of this attack for the rest of my life, I am 23 years old, if it weren't for my family i would have given up a very long time ago, it's been almost 6 years and there HAS NEVER gone a day where I wasn't reminded of what happened, either because I walk into a wall or knock a glass over because my distance perception is off, or because an insensitive stranger doesn't like the way it looks, or wants to know if I have pink eye, newsflash, you are not my friend, you are not allowed to ask about a strangers personal appearance, learn some damn manners.
