Lets all remember this story is one sided. No one has heard the boys side of the story. Just because she is a girl does not automatically make her innocent. I also heard that she tripped the boy several times before he got pissed off and did this to her. All I am saying is don't convict the boy yet until you hear both sides of the story.

I believe that the boy who stabbed her should be expelled for his actions. My prayers go out to the girl and her family. I was stabbed in the back by a boy in grade school years ago with a pencil and nothing was done to him. I'm the one who ends up getting beat up by other classmates because they applauded the boy who did that to me.

I think they should just close all schools and shut down school buses and let the parents deal with thier out of control child's education. School just isn't what it use to be.

that boy should recieve more than that. If he was big enough to stab a girl in the eye then they should make him serve some grown man time.

i dont understand what's going on that all these kids are running around so big and bad, then when they face consequences they wanna be children. parents need to teach their little ones more discipline and respect. no one i know would do something of that nature w/o already weighing the results of their actions.

that's just it, these parents are not taking responsibility for their kids. In most cases they should not be allowed to breed because they don't have the ability to decide right from wrong themselves.

what i have been saying for years reading, writing, and math are not enough these days, you have to teach children also how to act, the system has to teach them right from wrong because the parents arenot, mainly because the parents
don't know right from wrong.

Hey K-in-Z! I was wondering where YOU were.

I had a great Christmas break. Hope you did also.

It's a shame that many in our society continually go to great lengths to offer all kinds of excuses for violent, sometimes murderous, behavior.

- He/she is too young to understand what they did.
- He/she had a rough childhood.
- He/she was abandoned by their mother/father.
- He/she was abused as a child.

...etc., etc., etc.

My opinion is there has to be some accountability for unacceptable behaviors or society disintergrates into wholesale mayhem and chaos - which it appears ours already has.

I have actually met several people that would type like that, and they are the people that talk exactly the same way. They misspronounce words and then spell them just as they hear them when they speak.

so if someone trips you, justifies STABBING them? just a little overboard on the retaliation don't you think!

Too bad the Judges and bleeding hearts have stripped away any chance to correct this type of lunacy. If we were able to dispense with the 'degenerates' that have chosen not to follow the rules of civilized society then eventually we would have safer roads, better schools and less crime. instead we have to pamper these idiots and pay to feed and cloth them(sometimes until they die or) until they are released back to a society that has rules they already proved they can't follow.

Ok Odd man out... you are interpretating my comment incorrectly. The point I am trying to make is the boy is being convicted before anyone has heard his side of the story. I never said him stabbing her in the eye is justified because she kept tripping him. My point is that you do not get all the facts from the media. The girl could have been the bully all along and when he finally had enough he got pissed off and did something about it. I am not saying what he did was right. Now everyone wants to say he is scum and his parents are trailer trash. Maybe she deserved some retaliation from him. Either way, lets hear his side before you convict him. That is all I am saying. Now please do not take my words and say that I think the girl deserved it because our children these days are not taught how to deal with these kind of issues. They are just told to defend yourself and they never realize the consequence until it is too late.

too bad we can't undo the years of molly-coddleing of degenerates that refuse to abide by a civil code. Instead we are forced to pay for them while they are in jail. outrageous acts of violence should be met with equally sever punishment(and I'm not talking about taking away TV privilages either). Parent and child should be punished the same. Might make some think twice about having kids.

This is a sad story. But what many do not know is the circumstances that led up to this altercation. This girl had been fighting and bullying others. This is not an isolated incident. It is not right that the boy stabbed her in the eye with a pen. However if school administrators in Pasco County stopped bullying these things would not escalate to this point. Pasco County is failing to protect our children. Do you know why Florida has the highest rate of homeschooling? It is because our school system lacks in so many ways. The future is not bright for students in Florida schools, especially Pasco County. Something must be done. I encourage parents to become proactive. I am!
