I personally suggest not waisting money or effort. Take the kids and family to Lowrey Park. So much more entertainment and atmosphere. The Giraffe "Park" is a rip off like the owner was suggested to be.

This is going to fail. With all due respect to Mr. Salisbury, it is not too bright to expect folks to pay 59 really during any economy , in Polk county, no less. I have gone to Busch and Silver Springs and literally hand fed giraffes. I think Salisbury is sticking HIS NECK too far.

I have been to this neighborhood, very quite and rural. Lovely people just living their lives in the country. I really wonder if Mr. Salisbury saw the need to talk to his neighbors or even offer them a first hand experience before it all got start. Not that I think this will go over. Sorry but the other zoo in Dade City offers just as much and more entertainment for literally half of what Mr. Salisbury thinks he will get..... Don't think he thought this through as much as he thought, or maybe we are all missing the point.

I was recently on the tour and can say it was AMAZING, a lot different than what I had expected. I enjoy going to the zoo about once a year but this was different than anything I have done before. Between having an up close and personal encounter and having a personal tour guide i found it to be worth the drive up there and price of admission. It might not be something everyone can do but if you get the chance I recommend the visit.
