I left Akron back in 1979...just wondering if it still sucks as bad as it did then...no jobs, dirty, ugly city with depressed unhappy people..

Sounds soooo tempting compared to our moderate clime with sunny days and cool nights.

Say, Daniel, what is the night life like in Akron, if one wanted to par-tay?

Here, too!

And they let them start wearing these short shirts and low rise jeans so you have this lovely roll of fat that hangs out all the way around.

We used to call it a spare tire, now we roll with muffin top.

AkronFunFact: Most Akronites and Tourists are unaware that in the early 1880's Akron was known as the Tranvestite capital. Unfortunately the then mayoral canidate Dawn Masqualick campaigned as the reformed canidate insisting all canidate Tranvestites adhere to a strict election code. A scandal insued when local police cheif and part time opera diva Michella Ziptolovich ran for mayor and passed out lollipops depecting a likeness of the Akron Beacon Journal Clock Tower and referred to em' as ClockSuckers.

Akron does still suck, but it probably has the best parks system in the country. At least those Rubber Barons gave us those. That and a large collection of empty factories. :0)

I would have to say that Akron has a certain "Black hole level" of suckitudiness.
It's sucktacity is on a par with Detroit and Perth Amboy, NJ.

I was born just outside Detroit.

You speak the truth.

Now the Amboys, on the other hand, you could die there and no one would find you for a year! The stench, my GOD, the stench!!
