Akron Council considering texting-while-driving law

During the coming weeks, Akron City Council will consider voting on legislation that would make it a primary offense to compose, read or send text messages or access the Internet on mobile devices while driving in the city.

Probably prompted by those groan-inspiring billboards:

"Stop the texts, stop the wrecks."

Hardly poetic.

This rhymes better:

"Stop the sex, stop the wrecks."

Using a cell phone is as dangerous

Texting is three times as dangerous drunk driving.

Where is MAC (Mothers Against Calling) and MAT (Mothers Against Texting)?
