Why is it called a battle when the calvary wins and a masacure when the indians win? No heres the facts of life, history is written by the victors, but it doesnt make it true, The washita incident was a masacure of indians that were following the US GOV indian agents directions, it wasnt a battle, and the site isnt somthing to be proud of its a grave yard to GOV stupidity. Custer got his in Montana end of the story

This is a valid point. We can not change history. It is what it is! Are you upset about what they nammed the attack?

I do agree with you. I didn't know much untill I read your post so I did some studying on this subject. I never paid much attention to the monument, but now I do...I understand your point now!

mel there are many books out there I reccomend "Son of the morning star", it goes in depth on custers madness and how he took a Cheyenne woman after the attack on the washita got her pregant with his child and left her and the child on the on the prairy. Recently the Custer family has began a search for Custers lost Indian Son, they may have found his decendents in TX it turns out.

Is it really celebrating the massacre or telling the story of what happened so that everyone will know about it? I don't think they are celebrating anything. They are just showing what happened so that future generations will know the history. I am glad that Custer finally got what was coming to him....

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
