Read it again, this is the first one to open in 36 years. The reason is Chattahoochee Co had no money for a high school. Most of the county is in Ft. Benning, and they had no tax base to get money from. They also had the last remaining wooden courthouse which was finally replaced. This county is an example of one that is poor because of to much government. Their high school kids went to a neighboring county.

I have lived here most of my life and never knew that. The wooden courthouse, was it in Cusseta?

Yep, and it was moved to Westville. It was Georgia's last wooden courthouse.

Haven't been to Westville in ages. Glad you brought it up, I will try and get down there this fall. Thanks for the info.
