Pressures already on.

I know enough about Cushing that if someone I knew needed work, required a doctor, wanted to purchase some lumber, needed a car repaired, house reroofed, had a legal problem, had a plumbing issue, or wanted to start a business. I would have them go or call somewhere else, anywhere else.

Well that may be true, but its a perfect place to start a neo facist hip hop group.

As for the DA telling the grand jury thanks and moving on, there hasn't been a grand jury called in Payne County for years.
Had one a few years ago when Cox was Superintendent of the Yale School system
The GJ said they new laws had been broken, but didn't consider themselves attornies, so the turned it over to Rob Hudson to decide what to prosecute on.
Rob said "Thank you very much." and did nothing.

One has to wonder just how many people in city goverment will be getting kickbacks from the building of the new "Safety Center".

In a time when most cities and counties are cutting spending, The powers that be forge ahead with their ill timed "safety center". How in the world can less than 400 voters ( a good number of them city employees) have the political need to spend 5 to 6 million dollars? Isn't the jail nice enough for the criminals? Do the firefighters want private rooms with cable? Or is this needless spending a mere ploy for kickbacks and graft? Less than 5% of the population should not have the power to make the whole town bankrupt for years to come.

Less than 300 votes to spend 400,000 dollars and less than 400 votes to spend 6 million dollars. Picture this, because of this "Dougnut Safety Center" Cushing will simply become a ghosttown with a really nice police and fire building. The prison and the oil industry aren't going to float this town. Graft, debt, and ruin

Its easy to get a city contract when your company already knows the lowest bid amount.

75 people at a ground breaking? Everyone can thank the little more than 300 people who voted to bankrupt this town for the next 20 or 30 years and the self serving dogs who though graft will pocket the tax payers money. Just look at the companies involved and simply follow the money.

What else can a powerless cult do? They can't go into politics, they can only get as many memebers as possible to infiltrate to local police and sheriff's dept. Don't worry they have plenty of young brides to go around. Warren Jeff's has nothing on the COTFB

Just imagine the same old group of greedy people who went to prison for building a police station. Keep those tax returns handy.
