I would like to offer my condolences to Mr. Ford's family at this time. My family also knows the pain that this evil monster ,Gordon Hammock, can cause. Gordon Murdered my Uncle Darin several years ago. He left behind 2 beautiful children, a wife, a mother and father, brothers and several nieces and nephews and was only senenced to a few short years in jail. Unfortunately, if this heartless punk had of been given real justice at this time he probably would not have had the chance to kill yet another precious human life, the one you love, and for that my heart aches for all of you. At least this time the justice system has stepped up and taken care of the scum that has been taking up space in our society, waiting to take yet another victim. Again I am truly sorry for what you have had to endure. I pray for all of you to find peace in such a difficult time.

I am deeply sorry about your family member that got mixed up with this waste of skin....
Willie never NEVER deserved to be treated with such disregueard and lack of common decency that Gordon showed to him....
He is now resting in a beautiful place near his family.....they will never be the same...

Knowing all parties involved has allowed me an insight into this horror. Willie was a person that anyone could look up to in terms of how to treat other people. Willing to always lend a helping hand and always giving of himself. He trusted easily and everyone was his friend. He just trusted the wrong people and found himself drawn back into a black hole of drugs, sex, and violence. Gordon by himself would never have done this, even under the influence of meth. It took the devious mind of a crazy self-absorbed witch to bring this insanity to life. I'm not saying Gordon is blameless by any means. Willie's family will forever be scarred and Gordon's family is marred as well. Those of us who knew Willie now have this empty space that he filled. On the day the verdict came back, I was standing outside Denny's in Chehalis waiting with Willie's family holding his picture that now graces his headstone. The sun was out but all of a sudden the rain came and in the midst of it all a brilliant double rainbow emerged one end seeming to touch down directly across the street and the other on the court house. In that instant we all realized Willie was telling us it was almost over and he was ok. We could let go and move on until the day we meet again. Some day we will see each other again until then...

Melissa, it is a nice idea to think that Gordon would have never done this without the influence of a "crazy self-absorbed witch" but knowing Gordon since he was born.....it is without a doubt he was and is capable of such a hideous act. My heart goes out to all of Gordon's victims, including his own family.

Sometimes I feel lost without him. I am reminded of him everyday. I hear and see things that take me back...I wish we could go back. He still makes me smile tho!
I pray that Gordon is reminded of the horrible things he did to all of us. And that he pays every day for what he has done and stays right where he is for a very long time.

Just found this site, there is so much you don't know, Did Gordon get up that morning and decide to kill someone, hell no. Did he ever admitt that he was the one who had the final responsibility for Willy's death? What are you basing this all on, one person's testimony, one who said that a detective was in the bedroom telling her to cut the carpet into triangles, really? Who fired the bullet into Willy's brain? Why is Gordon the only one getting all the flack for this?

I am a heroin addict totally non violent, I was at the mcniel island corr center doing a 2 year sentence for heroin possession. I was in the same unit as gordon hammock, I was his weight lifting partner. gordon and I got to be good friends. It was a while until gordon told me what he was there for. this was in 2002 he told me he had killed a person who told on him for selling drugs. I never fully believe anyone who has killed. I had alot of fun lifting and playing pickle ball with gordon, I thought he must have done this in a fit of rage. it is now 2011 I have been in no trouble since, I know gordon was to get out in a few years after I did, I was looking for old friends on facebook and just for the hell of it I put in gordons name, and there he was but after reading it I found gordon was back in prison. I write him a long letter telling him how life has gone since I last saw him in 2002. I was still curious of what gordon did to get put back in prison so soon. I google his name and I was shocked to see the brutal way in which he killed again. I am now debating weather to even send it to him. I spent many hours with gordon and I am now trying to think back and and see if there were any signs I got from him that would tell me if he was capable of doing such deeds. I remember times playing pickle ball when gordon would be losing and he would throw down his paddle and walk off. I have had friends in the past who were like jekle and hyde on methamphetimine, not sleeping for days and then imagining things. I am very discusted with gordon, I dont think I will now write him. From what I know is that a law was changed that allowed gordon to get out of prison about 4 years early. I do think gordon had he stayed away from bad people and off drugs may have not killed again. while I was at mcniel I would see gordons mother come visit him every month. Gordon got what are called (trailer) visits. He was allowed to stay in a small mobile home at the prison with his mom for 2 days at a time. there he got real food, I was always jealous of him for he would come back and tell us all he had eaten. I now sorta hope he is not allowed these types of visits.I have not been able to get this out of my head for 3 days now. I just keep thinking why ? why ? did you do such a thing as this. I guess gordon is now back home where it seems he belongs. barry. at barrywb62@aol.com

Anyone reading the story and the details which came forth at the trial should be able to conclude that "Gordon" was clearly the ring-leader and that it was he who deserved no mercy from the court.

Indeed it was he who went outside to finish the job at a point from which he could have taken either of two options.

Clearly, and by the fact that he was able to inspire his girlfriend to perform a sex act on a 3rd party in an attempt to get a witness to remain quiet, it was Gordon who was in control of the environment when their drugs of choice weren't in control of all of them.

The independent offerings of Barry, written above, help to offer vibes about Gordon that the rest of us couldn't manufacture independently.

Hopefully someone who reads of this story one day will make the right choices to avoid experimenting with drugs.

Your uncle was a grown man and gordon was only a teen. A minor at the time he couldnt even drive a car yet. And your UNCLE was the creep who came to gordons home to try and scare him. It was all over some trash over a cb radio. Your uncle was out of line for goin to his house to pick.a fight with a kid! Yeah some people remember what really took place
Gordon was a scared kid when he shot Daren. And maybe if your uncle wasnt a creep in the first place maybe gordon never would have morally damaged by his time in prison. He didnt do much time for it because a highly respected judge determend it to be self defense. He shouldnt have had to do a single day in jail for defending him and his mothers home. Get your facts straight befor you try and.take this oppertunity to defend your uncle. When hes the.one who messed up a young kids life which lead to drugs and a murder. Also gordon is not the one who shot mr ford. It was gordon who put him out of his suffering once william was allready shot. And william is a victim of his own drug endused lifestyle. Shit happens when your a scum bag

I was in prison with gordon hammock I was caught with heroin on my person I am a non violent man dont steal dont lie just a person whos life was ruined by our crazy drug war. Anyway I was friends with gordon hammock and he was nice kind I would never have thought him capable of such an act. He must be like many who just cannot take life on the outside of prison. Many people just need to be locked up its just to bad he got out to do it again.
