See...that's exactly what's wrong with this country. No compassion at all. The guy didn't deserve to die for stealing a stupid catalytic converter out of a car that was junked anyway. It would be fairer if you guys died for making light of his misfortune.

Funny. The robber wanted a catalytic converter, but now he will be CONVERTED, to ashes. If he were a paying customer, that would be one thing....

if he's IN a salvage yard, removing a part, how in the world was it decided that he was trying to steal it ??? maybe it's different here in cali, but we have to go into the fenced in area, remove our parts, then pay on the way out.

That's okay. His family will probably sue the pants off the salvage yard and get all of their money. This s**t never stops!

You are correct, maybe he would have faired better if he broke in your home while you were sleep with a loaded pistol under your pillow.

Crazy Rays makes you sign a waiver when you go in..plus they have a big sign when you go in saying "It is unlawful to sell catylitic converters in the state of Maryland." Im pretty sure Crazy Rays take the catylitic converters off the cars when they prep them to go in the yard. Plus they have a big fence there so it'd be kind of hard to steal something that big. IMO, I think the guy was getting something else under the car that he unsafely jacked up and thats what killed him. I think this catylitic converter business is the newspaper trying to make a story.

OMG!!! You people SUCK! He was my cousin. How can you say he got what he deserved when you didn’t even know him or his story? If it were your Father, Brother, Son or even a friend would you still say the same thing? You guys are rude and you should have a little respect for my family! We just lost someone that was dear to us and I get on here and read these comments and it breaks my heart!!! You never knew his story and what he has been through (which was a lot) He lost his mother at the age of 16!! He is leaving behind his father(who has cancer,) a brother, Aunts and Uncles, grandparents cousins , friends and the list goes on and on!!!!!! How dare you people! He was no saint but nobody is he had a heart of GOLD!!! It turns my stomach to know that you people can be so heartless!!! Like I said if it were your family you wouldn’t say those things. Sometimes people do this to try and make ends meet to make sure your family is taken care of…I am not saying that what he did was right…but I am saying “YOU ALL ARE WRONG”!!!! Please have a little respect for my family while we are dealing with this…It is not easy for anybody to lose a loved one!!! RIP Johnny !!!!! I’m sorry and I do forgive you!! I love you XOXOXOXO

Thanks Pogo...No Mac We are not after money!!! I am glad to see the people that you all were raised to be....LOSERS!!!!

How dare you write this Mac "That's okay. His family will probably sue the pants off the salvage yard and get all of their money. This s**t never stops!".

NO HIS FAMILY IS NOT GOING TO SUE. I am his family. You dont know him, you dont know why he was trying to steal to get money, you dont know a single thing about the man. How dare you write such harsh things knowing darn well family who is grieving may see your comments. If your family member died this way how would you all like it if I said "Karma's a B" and "his family will probably sue".

No one has any compassion at all. Johnny did not deserve to die like this, NO ONE DOES! What if your brother got killed this way. How would it make you all feel knowing he lay dying under a car for an unknown amount of time.

Thank you Pogo. At least you are a kind human being unlike the a*****es on here. Yes, Doug, I believe thats who wrote he will be in ashes. Yes, he is being cremated, so our family may grieve and cope with our loss at his memorial service.

As much as my anger makes me wish half of you on here were under that car instead of Johnny, like I said, no one deserves to die like that.

Im not in any way saying what he did is ok. But he was a father of 2 and when you have to make ends meet, you do what you have to do.

THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR BIG MOUTHS!

He should have thought about his ability to provide for his family BEFORE having 2 kids. It's never OK to steal...responsible people get another job to make ends meet.

Wow....I think people that didn't know him shouldn't open their mouths! Johnny didn't deserve to die that way, it was an accident that nobody could have prevented. I give my thoughts and prayers to his family and his girlfriend (and other friends)

All I can say is the people who actually knew him know the story. And I hate to burst your bubble but the cops aren't lying!

I prefer a shotgun. Got it down to one "BANG". Lots quieter. Messier, though. Their last words are kinda amusing.
