GA Drivers License Tests Only in English?

The Georgia Senate on Tuesday approved a bill that would require the state to conduct drivers license tests in English only.

This is a touchy subject, I agree with them, our street signs are in English. I believe it should be in English first that is our native language. you don't expect me to go down to Mexico on vacation and ask the to chance everything to English because I can't read it.

Why does it matter? All the illegals don`t have drivers licenses or insurance anyway...

I would have to agree that if you can't pass a State Test in it's native (very widely spoken) language, then you don't need your license.

And I agree with Scott. Most of them don't have licenses or insurance. We just keep getting screwed all the way around.

Pay for them when they go to jail, pay for all those anchor babies they have, pay on our insurance when they are involved in an accident with no insurance, etc.

And just to play fair, if the so-called Rednecks can't read it and pass, then they shouldn't be driving either.

1st. This law, had it passed, would not send all the illegals back "home." They are not allowed to take the driving test anyway, in Georgia. So, I am not sorry to disappoint you.

2nd. A law like this WOULD affect Legal residents OR foreign visitors & International business people who may stay here longer (legally, of course) than the exception would allow for.

Imagine: you are touring Europe or Mexico. You try to rent a car from Budget-Rent-a-Car (they are worldwide.)-- They ask to see your French or German or Russian or Mexican driving license. You say: but all the safety signs are International Signs. I know how to drive. They say, "sorry, German only. Or Russian Only. Or Spanish Only." And I would laugh so hard. You simple, little-minded racist people. Chao!

What would send them back home would be if our Federal Government were to enforce the current immigration laws that are already on the books. Proof. In our recession, Mexican illegals are going home in droves. Why? No jobs. If they couldn`t work, then they would go back to where they came from...

You can get what is known as an International Drivers License. Look it up.
