Not many employers furnish a county car, a full pension, and free lunches either! Fluvanna teachers have it made!

I do not live in Huntington, WV. Topix defaulted that location because I didn't register.

Stating your mind shouldn't be telling COMPLETE LIES. That is what a troll does. They either state what they know to be lies or they hurl insults and groups of people (such as racist or anti-teacher comments). They do this just to cause outrage. If you are truly speaking your mind and are trying to be truthful, then you are not a troll.

Sorry, but you must be a cuckoo because you bought into a big line of B.S. Not only does Fluvanna NOT cover the entire cost of our insurance (nor does anyone expect them to), they completely stopped paying anything at all toward coverage of family members. This meant that school employees' payroll deductions for health insurance more than doubled for many employees who carry insurance for their whole families. We have employees paying more than $1,000 a month for family coverage. None of the other crap you read on this thread is true either. Nobody drives county cars, except in the line of duty--and trust me, they are not cars you want to be seen in. Nobody gets free lunch. As a matter of fact, we pay more than what a student is charged, but we get the same amount of food as a student. Most of us pack our lunch, and of course you're lucky if you get more than 5 minutes to shove it down your throat.

Honestly people, before you perpetuate these lies, could you try confirming the information?

County car? FALSE!
Full pension? FALSE. We now pay a portion of our contribution every month.
Free lunch? FALSE AGAIN!!!

Please explain to everyone on this discussion thread why you are spreading complete lies. Are you ignorant, or are you deceitful? Or are you just a troll? These are your only choices, so please pick one and let us know.

If you are going to splurge in mammoth fancy new schools and new computers, you have to balance with cuts elsewhere, like salaries and benefits. Teachers need to stop whining!

and get better jobs. Labor is a market. If you don't incentivize good people to go into teaching, we end up with bad people teaching or no people teaching.
